Is IEM required mathamatics for bca?
Hello,
For entry to the BCA course conducted at the Institute of Engineering and Management, Kolkata, selection of a candidate typically looks at an applicant having taken Mathematics or Computer Science as one of his subjects in his 10+2 level. The above policy is quite normal as many such BCA programs would normally involve coursework dealing with a lot of programming and algorithm application and mathematical concept involvement to benefit from such understanding in foundational mathematics.
However, specific admission requirements may change or have exceptions, so it is best to confirm with IEM's admissions office or their official website to get the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding eligibility criteria for the BCA program.

sir i write mathamatics exams very good but in the results i fail in my mathematics exams plz sir recorrect my maths paper i request to you plz sir
It is very good thing that you are great at Mathematics. Maybe the reasons for you failed in exam is because the maybe any mistakes in correcting paper or you wrote the question numbers incorrect or maybe the answers you thought right is wrong etc. There are many possibilities for that. Please don't be disappointed. If you are so sure about your performance in exams you can apply for revaluation. If there is any mistake in correction by the teachers, your mark will definitely increase.
Thank you
what are the difference between B.Sc Computer science and BCA. Is there any mathamatics subject difference.
hello aspirant,
NO there is no difference related to the mathematics subjects in BCA or Bsc computer Science. Mathematics is compulsory to have in 10+2 for both BCA and bsc CS.
The basic difference in BCA and bsc CS is that B Sc (CS) is more concept-oriented while BCA is application-oriented . However BCA and B Sc (CS) both is useful for students. The BCA course will teach you about current techniques and applications, giving you a basic idea of the programming languages currently used.
Now, if you'll ask me which is better, I'll say that BCA is better than BSc CS. This is because BCA is more productive and favorable for getting jobs in the corporate sector; while BSc IT is more suitable for making careers in the academia and disciplinary research .
Further, to know more about the BCA Course and Bsc CS Course in full complete details, you can follow the below mentioned link to know more about them : https://www.careers360.com/courses/bca-bachelor-of-computer-applications
