In west bengal after doing PG there is strict bond of 3 yrs, if a student during these years clear MCH or DM and want to take study leave , do they allow?
Hi,
Well no as once you have signed the strict bond of service for three years then you.will have to work for three years but if you somehow manage to get admission in mch or dm in the same college where you are serving your bond then I think they will allow you to study as well as do service.
I hope my answer helps.
All the best.

Hello,
As per your query I would say yes you can get admission in KPLI even if you are from general category. The percentage required for admission is 45% in best of four subjects for general category students, 42% for OBC category students and 40% for SC/ST category.
Hope it helps.

does CMCvellore offer integrated course like direct Mch neurosurgery or Cardiothoracic surgery for six years post MBBS
Hi,
As far as I know then CMC Vellore does not have a integrated program for the course you mentioned. That integrated course is available in AIIMS Delhi. First you will have to do MS in general surgery and then MCh in cardiothoracic surgery as super specialisation.
I hope my answer helps.
All the best.
is bsc neccesary to pursue mch degree
Greetings!
Mch i.e. Magister Chirurgiae is a post-doctoral program which you can pursue after completion of MS degree, duration of MCh program is three years and admission to MCh course is done through the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Super Speciality Courses), abbreviated NEET-SS, which is conducted by National Board of Examinations. So you don't need a b.sc degree but rather an MS degree if you want to pursue Mch degree. You can check the eligibility criteria for mch below :-
- To be eligible you need to possess an MS degree/provisional pass certificate or an equivalent degree or likely to be in possession of same by prescribed date.
- Those who are qualifying or getting results of MS (or equivalent exam) after cutoff date will not be considered for admission.
- You will have to mandatorily get registered with MCI/ State Medical Council. A documentary proof to that effect has to be submitted at the test centre on the day of the exam.

what can i pursue by doing mch degree
Greetings!
-Magister Chirurgiae i.e.MCh is a post-doctoral program that can be pursued after completion of MS degree. You will have ample of opportunities after the completion of Mch as super speciality degree is more or less the acme in the academic front for a medical practitioner and it brings lot of name recognition, also opens lots of career opportunities for you. You can open your own clinic, in case if serving people is the prime driving force for you, then getting a government job will be a great option for you .That being said the monetary compensation for doctors in government hospitals, especially for an MCh degree holder, is catching up fast. You can even work in big private hospitals like Appolo etc in speciality units.
Thankyou
