Sir, i recently completed my BTech degree in electrical engineering but i found myself naturally more interested in mechanical engineering.i want to join drdo as mechanical engineering scientist through GATE.what options are for me sir?
Hello,
Hope you are doing great.
I regret to inform you that, you cannot apply for the DRDO exam by way of Mechanical Engineering course. As the application will ask you for the Btech degree in Mechanical Engineering. So, you only have two options now. You can either start the Mechanical Course freshly, or you can join DRDO from your stream itself.
Hope this helps!!
Question : Directions: In the following figure, the boys who are cricketers and sober are indicated by which number?
Option 1: 6
Option 2: 5
Option 3: 4
Option 4: 2
Correct Answer: 2
Solution : In the below diagram, the shaded part represents the region common to cricketers, boys, sober and girls. The numbers of the asked fields that fall in the region of girls will also be counted as there is no direction given that the region belonging to girls can not be included.
So, the boys who are cricketers and sober are indicated by 2. Hence, the fourth option is correct.

A robot is a mechanical or virtual artificial agent, usually an electromechanical machine that is (1)______ by a computer programme or electronic circuitry. In general, robots can be autonomous or semi-autonomous and are now used in different fields. They have replaced (2)_______ in performing repetitive and dangerous tasks which humans prefer not to do, or are unable to do because of size limitations, or which take place in extreme (3)________ such as outer space or the bottom of the sea. For instance, robots can now be used in industry, as in car manufacturing, or they can be used in homes to do the (4)_______. Some robots may respond to speech or even be medical operating tools. Question:
Select the most appropriate option to fill in the blank number 5.
Option 1: unemployment
Option 2: peace
Option 3: social issues
Option 4: corruption
Correct Answer: unemployment
Solution : The correct choice is the first option.
Robots are often associated with concerns about job displacement and the potential increase in unemployment rates as they replace humans in various functions across industries.
The concern about the increasing use of robots and their role in society revolves around the potential impact on employment, specifically in terms of job displacement and rising unemployment rates.
Therefore, the complete sentence would be: "Robots are blamed for the rising unemployment as they replace workers in increasing numbers of functions."
Sir I have done diploma in mechanical engineering. I took admission in 2013 in diploma second year and passed exam in 2014 but I didnt get my second year marksheet that year .I got my 2nd year marksheet in 2017 and issue date is mention 2017 on my marksheet .is there any problem in govt exam
As a diploma holder in Mechanical Engineering, you have several pathways to further your education and career:
1. Pursuing a B.Tech. (Mechanical Engineering) through Lateral Entry:
Eligibility: You can apply for direct admission to the second year of a B.Tech. program, provided you meet the following criteria:
Completion of a 3-year diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
A minimum aggregate score of 50% in your diploma program.
Duration: The B.Tech. program via lateral entry typically spans three years, divided into six semesters.
Institutions Offering Lateral Entry:
MIT-WPU: Offers direct second-year lateral entry programs across various engineering streams.
Lingaya's Vidyapeeth: Provides B.Tech. lateral entry programs for working professionals with a diploma.
Lovely Professional University (LPU): Offers B.Tech. Mechanical Lateral Entry with specific eligibility criteria.
2. Appearing for Competitive Exams:
GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering):
Eligibility: Candidates with a 3-year diploma in Engineering/Technology are eligible to appear for GATE.
Purpose: GATE is primarily for admission to postgraduate programs (M.Tech) and recruitment in public sector companies.
IES (Indian Engineering Services):
Eligibility: Candidates must have a degree in Engineering from a recognized university. While a diploma holder can appear for IES, they must first complete a degree program.
Purpose: IES is for recruitment to various engineering services under the Government of India.
3. Employment Opportunities:
Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs):
PSUs like ONGC, BHEL, and IOCL often recruit diploma holders for various technical positions.
Eligibility: Diploma holders can apply for certain positions; however, some roles may require a degree.
Next Steps:
Research Institutions: Explore universities and colleges offering lateral entry into B.Tech. programs to find the best fit for your career goals.
Prepare for Exams: If considering GATE or IES, begin preparing by reviewing the syllabus and previous years' papers.
Consult Academic Advisors: Seek guidance from academic counselors or professionals in the field to make informed decisions about your educational and career path.
By leveraging your diploma and exploring these avenues, you can enhance your qualifications and open
up various career opportunities in the engineering sector.

Question:
Select the most appropriate option to fill in the blank number 3.
Option 1: beauty
Option 2: pattern
Option 3: enjoyment
Option 4: environments
Correct Answer: environments
Solution : The correct choice is the fourth option.
The sentence talks about tasks that humans may avoid or are unable to perform due to size limitations or that occur in extreme conditions, such as outer space or the bottom of the sea.
Environment fits here as it refers to the surroundings or conditions, including extreme or challenging environments like outer space or deep-sea locations where humans might face difficulties performing tasks due to the extreme conditions.
Therefore, the complete sentence would be: "Humans prefer not to do, or are unable to do, because of size limitations or because they take place in extreme environments such as outer space or the bottom of the sea."
