For doing MD in US the first thing you need to do is check in world directory of med school  weather Your college is there. Apply for ECFMG ( edu commission for foreign medical graduates) to get identification number. Fill the form and get sign by your dean.

Exams are step by step.  First exam, You can write this in India. You need to score 192 out of 280 questions. Questions will be from topics upto second years, that is pre and para clinic topics. Second step is clinical exam, this also you can write in India .  Next step is based on clinical skills, for this you will get 9 patients. Your communication skills, English proficiency ,clinical encounter ,diagnosis ability will tested.

After passing above successive test, you could choose different universities for residency. You will get your specialty according to your score.

Yes! If you are going for the PG course in Medical sciences, then you will get some monthly stipend as per your Medical council/University rate. The stipend may start from Rs. 14k and may get as high as Rs. 70k which is offered by AIIMS. If you have taken admission your class XI in Science stream (Non-Medical) and want to change it to medical field, it completely depends on the school in which you are studying. Generally they allow changing the stream maximum before 1 to 2 months of admission or un till the examinations are not started.  So, yes you can feel free to change your stream even after taking admission if you wish to.
