SRM Institute of Science and Technology (formerly known as SRM University) offers several scholarships, fee waiver schemes, teaching and research assistance to meritorious and deserving students. A large number of students tremendously benefit from such schemes. Every year around 2500+ students are benefited from this scheme and a total of 29 crores of scholarship amount is distributed among the meritorious students.

To encourage and support students of exemplary talent, several scholarships are instituted to recognize excellence in academic, sports and deserving candidates. The quantum of scholarship and the number of scholarships are subject to change from time to time. such as; Founder's Scholarship- This scholarship is for B.tech student only, SRM Merit Scholarship-Another category where B.tech students can apply and avail their scholarship, Social Economical Scholarship- A special category meant for meritorious students those are socially and economically backwards. The scholarship is recommended by Puthiathalaimurai Foundation, Agaram Foundation, CORA Trust, Ramakrishna Mission etc. 

However, there is no scholarship for an MBBS, BDS and all PG Medicine programs and Allied Health Sciences. student at present in SRM, Chennai. The university is looking forward to facilitating the process and candidate will soon be notified if any such notification comes up in the future. thank you for approaching us . if the rank you got 860 is the NEET UG rank then you will surely get a seat in govt. medical college ,omandurar . this is because for theNEET exams , the cutoff for for a seat in this college are in 20k+  .

but , if the rank you got is the tamil nadi mbbs exam then , sorry to say you donot have any chance of getting a seat . the previous year year bc cutoff for seat in this college was 384.
