what is the difference between pharm d and b pharm? which one is the best course?
Gopika, B.Pharmacy is a 4 year Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Pharma D on the other hand is a Doctoral Programme for a duration of 6 years. Both courses are pursued after your 12th in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics. A Bachelor's degree is an Undergraduate degree after which you can pursue Masters and then a Ph.d probably if you want. But a Doctoral Degree is a better course than Bachelors. So if you take up B.Pharmacy, you might have to pursue Masters later. But if you take Pharma D, you needn't pursue any Master's course as Pharma D is a Doctoral degree. In both the courses, you get to study the drugs, their reaction, pharma logical structure, chemical bonding etc. But with Pharma D, you also get to learn the diagnosis of the condition, treatment, therapeutic usage of the drugs and their prescription. The opportunities, scope and salaries differ because B.Pharmacy is just an Undergraduate degree while Pharma D is a Doctoral degree. And Pharma D is on the higher end of the scale in regards to opportunities and salaries as well. So if you have to choose one among these 2, Pharma D is advisable.
definition and notes of metastasis
Hi Aspirant,
Definition- The spread of cancer cells from the place where they first formed to another part of the body.
Metastasis is a complex process that involves the spread of a tumor or cancer to distant parts of the body
In metastasis ,cancer cells break away from the original(primary) tumor, travel through the blood or lymph system, and form a new tumor in other organs or tissues of the body. The new , metastatic tumor is the same type of cancer as the primary tumor.
For Ex- if breast cancer spreads to the lung, the cancer cells in the lung are breast cancer cells, not lung cancer cells.
many cancer deaths are caused when cancer moves from the original tumor and spreads to other tissues and organs. This is called metastatic cancer.
Steps of metastasis
1)separation from the primary tumor
2)invasion through tissues around the initial lesion and penetration of their basement membranes
3)entry into blood vessels and survival within blood spread via blood vessels is called hematogenous spread
4)entry into lymphatics or peritoneal cavity
5)reaching the distant organ
6)formation of a new lesion along with new blood vessels feeding the tumor formation of new blood vessels is termed angiogenesis.
There are 4 routes of spread of cancer
1)spread via lymphatic channels
2)spread via blood vessels
3)spread via body cavities
4)transplantation of cancer.
Hope this helps you!
GOOD LUCK!!

is that any possibility to reduce cutoff score of neetmds 2020 .
Hello Adwaith!!
There is reduce in cutoff. It depends on each year the only by making the question paper tougher the cutoff marks can be reduced. Since the competition is getting more than ever. The only possible way to reduce cutoff is question paper difficult level should be increased so that the cutoff marks will become less. But in recent times the cutoff marks are decreasing each year. The only way to clear your exam is to prepare wisely and definitely you can clear your exams.
For cutoff percentile kindly refer to
