You have good chances to obtain a seat in CSE department in colleges Thiagarajar college of engineering, Sree krishna college of engineering and Mephco college of engineering. Your chances are moderate in colleges PSG college of engineering and Kumaraguru college of engineering.

Be confident and wait till the last round of counselling to obtain your oppurtunity in one of these colleges.

Placements in Mepco are getting rapid attention as there is an assurance for at least 90% placement opportunities. Students doing well in academics get a chance of internship during their eighth semester. Placements are really exciting in Mepco. Placements in the college are decent. Some students get placed in good companies while some get internships. Many companies visit the college for placements every year and offer many jobs. Overall, the college is average in terms of placements and good for getting medium salaries.

If you have already taken admission through counselling then you cannot change the branch in any college now. But after 1st year if you have a YGPA of 8.5 or above then you can change the branch in that college and take any branch. Most of the college follow this rule. If you have only been alloted but not taken admission then you can wait for other rounds.

Hello candidate.As you mentioned that your rank is 27700 there might be a chance of getting mechanical engineering.The most important thing is that getting an admission in engineering college is mainly based on your category.As you didn't mention your category we cannot say that you can get admission in mechanical engineering in mepco.

I am assuming that you are asking if, for final counseling, the percentile score or marks or ranks would be considered for admission into different colleges and universities of engineering through the JEE examinations.

For final admission, your rank would be considered for admission. You will know your final result after the conduction of the April session of the JEE exam.
