The criteria for admission in Marchant Navy are:
- For bachelor Marchant Navy courses, the candidate must have to complete 12th from Science stream with the subject combination of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
- The minimum marks required for this is 60%.
- The minimum age required for this is in between 17 to 25 years.
So, it is difficult for you to get a chance with this result.

The eligibility criteria for merchant navy is as follows for diploma courses:

You should not be over the age of 25 - 28 years.
-
You must have passed 10+2 level of examination with PCM and English as compulsory subjects if you belong to one year diploma courses.
-
If you belong to two-year diploma courses, you should have passed with at least 50 per cent marks.
Since there is no criteria for minimum marks in class 12th, so if you have scored according to the eligibility criteria mentioned above then you will be eligible for merchant navy.

You can either join merchant Navy from various entrance examination conducted after class 12th such as Indian Maritime University exam, JEE ADVANCED and others or pursue it after completing your graduation from stream such as- Mechanical, Naval architecture, and Electrical.

This procedure was there when one of my seniors went .
First he gave the exam then the result came and ,then there was an interview followed by a medical check up .
