Look It is not easy getting previous year papers. You just need to revise your class X-XII syllabus. Your basics should be clear. NCERT books are helpful. Attempt all the questions as there is no negative marking. You can only join Merchant Navy once you have cleared IMU-CET Exam.

1B.E./B.TECH. MARINE ENGINEERING
This is a 4 years long Undergraduate Program. On completion of the program, successful candidates are provided Class 4 Marine Engineer Officer Certificate of Competency. This certificate is awarded by the Ministry of Shipping.
2 GME COURSE

5 GP RATING COURSE

6 DECK RATING COURSE
Though GP Ratings course covers aspects of deck crew training, separate deck crew training courses are also available. The pre sea training course lasts 6 months.
7 ENGINE RATING COURSE
Though GP Ratings course covers aspects of engine crew training, separate engine crew training courses are also available. The pre sea training course lasts 6 months.
8 SALOON RATING COURSE
It is a 6 months long pre sea training course. Saloon course focuses on the catering department of a merchant navy ship. It trains students and makes them capable of taking up responsibilities in the catering department aboard merchant navy ships.
9 NCV COURSE
NCV stands for Near Coastal Voyage. It is a 6 months long training program. The initial training program will be followed by 24 months offshore training or 18 months with distance learning program.

If you are a mechanical engineer and wish to get a job in the merchant navy, then you can do so by becoming a marine engineer using your mechanical engineering degree.
Mechanical and marine engineering courses have several subjects in common and this makes it easier for a mechanical engineer to get an additional degree in marine and open new doors of opportunities.
A one year Graduate Marine Engineering (GME) course after mechanical engineering would give students the licence to enter merchant navy.
Eligibility criteria:
- Graduation in BE (Mechanical) Engineering / Naval Architecture with minimum marks of 50% in final year
- Must have minimum 50% marks in English language at 10th or 12th or in Degree Exam.
- Must not be more than 28 years old

How to become deck officer in merchant Navy after class 12 ? tell me the process.
You can join the merchant navy from age 16 onwards as an officer cadet or marine apprentice and train as a deck rating. You will at least four GCSEs (grades A-C), or equivalent qualifications. These should include English, maths and physics (or combined science).
You must have good eyesight and be physically fit, as you will have to pass a medical before you can start training.You can also start your career after completing an industry-backed foundation degree, HND or degree at university. These courses usually include on board practical training
Is merchant Navy is safe career???

Can I can apply for merchant Navy from PCB stream
Unfortunately, you need to have Mathematics as a compulsory subject if you want to appear for IMU-CET exam, which is the entrance test conducted for Merchant Navy. This is mandatory.
However, through PCB, you can get a related course to become a doctor in the Merchant Navy, but this path is very complicated.

Hello chahat, you can either do BSC nautical science or BE in marine engineering or BE mechanical engineering or BE civil engineering , these are the various courses you can do , you can also apply for the entrance exam named as IMU cet by placing online application.

No, you cannot. You need to have cleared the IMU CET for joining Merchant Navy in India. IMU CET is mandatory in India for joining Btech Marine Engineering, Bsc Nautical Science and DNS ( Diploma in Nautical Science) courses in India.
