What is so special about Metallurgical Engineering at OP Jindal University, Raigarh?
OPJU is the only university that provides programs like Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (https://www.opju.ac.in/soe_mme) . The university is India’s only steel university. The program Metallurgical & Materials Engineering (https://www.opju.ac.in/soe_mme) offers advanced knowledge in steel, power, and metals manufacturing and its works. After completing the course you will get direct placement into JSPL which is powered by Jindal Group itself. This is the very special thing about the course program at OPJU (https://www.opju.ac.in/) .

for metallurgical n material engineering which is netter jamshedpur or rourkela
Hi,
On overall, NIT ROURKELA is a much better institute than NIT JAMSHEDPUR. NIT ROURKELA is one of the top NITs of India. But if you want to be engaged in other things besides study, then NIT Jamshedpur is the best choice. This is because the students of this institute get a huge time to think about their dreams. NIT ROURKELA has a higher placement percentage and better placement statistics compared to NIT JAMSHEDPUR.
In my advice, you should choose NIT ROURKELA.
Hope it helps.
Please help me choose between MNIT Jaipur and NIT Jamshedpur for metallurgical and materials engineering. This is troubling me a lot. Help
Hello candidate,
You can always go to Mnit Jaipur. It is a much better college than jamshedpur. You will also be having a great college life at jaipur which will no happen in jamshedpur. The placements of jaipur are also good in comparing with jamshedpur.
which college should I prefer B.tech in chemical engineering In IIPE,visakhapatnam or B.tech in Metallurgical and materials engineering in NIT Raipur ?
Hello there, hope you're doing well!
I feel that your question is concerned directly to your academic interest, I am answering regarding that below-
My simple answer would be choose well according to your interest in the stream. Both of the colleges are premier institutions. If you're having serious interests in Metallurgical and Material Engineering then go for NIT Raipur else if you're enthusiastic about chemical engineering branch,
Welcome to IIPE!
Being a student of chemical engineering in IIPE, my personal opinion about the course curriculum is "excellent" and the professors are very helpful and available! The seniors are very cooperative.
That's it from my side!
Adieu!
iit mein ceramic , metallurgical, mining or environmental engineering mil rha hai vs gfti mein mechanical ,it,ece mil rha hai .mujhe kya lena chahiye iit ya gfti . kiska package best hai?? please reply sir ??
Hello aspirant,
First of all ceramic, metallurgical, mining or environmental engineering were somewhat newer branches of engineering according to industrial needs. In India there were not so much companies which recruit students from this respective branches.
Again mechanical, electrical, computers and communication engineering were regarded as core branches of engineering. There is a need of engineers from this branches everytime. So you may get various opportunities after graduation.
Again comparison of IIT with GFTI is not so good. As IIT's were the most premium institutions in India and you can get a good academy culture and work culture there and have more than 90% chances of getting placements.
But all GFTI's were not same, some were very good where you can explore study and work culture seemly but some were not so good comparatively.
So choose according to your interest which will help you more than choosing a good college.
Hope it helps you..
Best of luck..
Hello, Myself Usman Khatri. CRL rank-12609 OBC-NCL rank-2606. in jee advanced As per 2020 cutoff, 1.IIT INDORE (MECH) 2.IIT KGP (Manufacturing sc. and eng.) 3. IIT MADRAS (Metallurgical) 4.IIT KGP (material) 5.IIT DELHI(biotech) 6.IIT Hyderabad(civil) 7. IIT Kanpur(materia) which should I prefer??
Hello,
Congratulations on getting such good college and branch options. I will give you a preference list which will comprise of all these factors:
- Overall ranking
- Infrastructure
- Location/accessibility
- Branch that you are been offered(Core/interdisciplinary)
- Placement opportunities
- Industry Exposure
The preference order you should consider is:
- IIT Delhi , Biotechnology
- IIT Kanpur, Material
- IIT Madras, Metallurgical
- IIT Kharagpur, Material
- IIT Kharagpur, manufacturing Science
- IIT Hyderabad, Civil
- IIT Indore, Mechanical
I would also like to add here that an engineering course should be very much taken with an interest in the field so I would suggest you to consider that factor and if you are not aware of the branches mentioned look them up on the internet. More reliable will be to go through the syllabus on the respective colleges' website. An interest in the field is the key factor in deciding how your 4 years of college will be and what opportunities you will land for yourself.

I got 511 rank in OBC-NCL PWD between nit surathkal metallurgical engineering or iiit kancheepuram cse which is the better option could I choose
Hi,
Between Metallurgy in NIT - Surathkal and CSE in IIIT Kancheepuram, you should go for CSE in IIIT Kancheepuram. There are various reasons for this. The first and most important reason is placements. Placements of CSE Branch is better than Metallurgy. The second reason is career opportunities. Now a days CSE has more career opportunities than Metallurgy. If you are specifically interested to do metallurgical Engineering, then you should go for NIT otherwise go for CSE Branch.
I hope this will solve your query. In order to know what other colleges, you could get you should use this tool:
