Case Study on Ride Sharing Mobile App - (800 Words)
Hi aspirant,
Ride sharing applications have taken over the glow in the recent times as there are increases in cost of living and heavy on road traffics. Basically these apps work on a simple model where a car owner or driver offers ride to the passenger to share the travel expenses. The co passengers generally share the same final destination or same route which helps in saving the time as well as the fuel in addition to reduction in travelling costs.
The ride share apps are generally safe to use because the drivers are professionally trained and full verification of them is done before hiring purposes. In most of the cases, the car owner and passenger has to verify their identity by submitting the valid information along with any Government ID. There are many salient features in these kind of application selection of the driver and co passengers, online payment service, ratings system, pre registration etc. Specially in cities like Bombay and Bengaluru where there is heavy traffic and lack of resources available this option is becoming very popular among people. The fares are fixed and no last moment hesitation is found.
Only shortcoming of these application is that currently it is limited to certain big cities and is yet to reach the small towns of India which contain the maximum population. The aim of ride sharing applications is clear but they need to introduce some more safety features in association to female drivers which can make female passengers more comfortable.
Also there are many people in India who are not very comfortable using smart phones so there must be an customer care line which could guide the people in booking their rides.
Hope it helps!!
