I think ECE in NIT nagaland will be better than NIT mizoram Electrical or electronics.

As you have been allotted the NIT Nagaland seat in the JOSSA Counselling in the Electronic and instrumentation branch which is good but as you have mentioned that you are confused about whether to go with this or take a drop, so firstly i would say that it completely depends upon your prospective like if you feel that you are satisfied with what you are getting than you should go with it but if you are looking for something more and something better than you can take a drop but that also if you are 100 percent sure you will do better than this than only it will be worth. Now talking about NIT Nagaland so it is one of the good NIT in India and has a good record but it is not in top NIT’s than too overall it is a good college.

The NIRF instituted 'India Rankings 2021' was released by Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday in New Delhi. Among the universities in India, NU was ranked in the 151-200 band, slipping from the 101-150 band it managed in both 2020 and 2019.The college offers a BTech programme in six specialisations. NIT Nagaland offers BTech, MTech, MSc, and PhD in Engineering and Science. Admission to most of the academic programmes is entrance based.

NIT Nagaland, an Institute of National importance is a higher education technical institute, is one among the ten newly approved NITs by the Government of India in 2009 under the 11th Five Year Plan. The institute started functioning from the academic year 2010. The institute is spread over 291 acres. It aims to advance knowledge through quality education and research, to cultivate invention, and to educate students for a life of professional achievement, service to society, and moving our world towards a more sustainable path.

Meanwhile , in the engineering section, while almost all institutions under the NIT featured in top 200 band , NIT Nagaland failed to make to the 300 lit.

NIT Nagaland's best performance so far has been in 2017 when it was ranked 151-200 in engineering category.

Great to knew that according to previous cut-offs you have various options to choose from.

As your 1st priority is ECE I would discuss regarding this branch only on your mentioned NIT's.

As you may know, NIT Nagaland, Sikkim, Mizoram & Meghalaya were comparatively newly established, I would rate these NITs a bit lower than the other two NITs due to their lack of infrastructure and established alumni network. They are in their infant stages only, thus I would take them out of the discussion.

Now comes the other two NITs Agartala and Srinagar, while Srinagar was earlier an RIT and thus always was a premier institute of India. Agartala is also a fairly old institute established in the 50s and 60s. They have a very established campus and alumni network. NIT Agartala has many new investments in infrastructures.

I would suggest you to choose any of them according to your residence as if you were in East side you can choose NIT AGARTALA or if you belongs to Northern side choose NIT SRINAGAR.
