Will we get enough time to prepare for the UPSC CSE in the NDA?
Ok... Read it only if your age criteria is enough to get in CSE exam after 6-7 years in NDA...
Let us assume that you qualified in NDA and after that you decided to go for UPSC but you want to complete your graduation from NDA.... than I will prefer you to go in NDA from TES entry scheme and spent 3 years in NDA after that you will get posted in army as TEMPORARY COMMISSION means for a short time as you have came from TES entry..... Then when you spent your 3 years in NDA after that you join army... Then START PREPARING FROM joining in Army for UPSC..... Giving about your five years in ARMY and prepare UPSC CSE and if you got selected then ... You can take retirement easily as you are from TES scheme usually TES entry hire officers for short term for ARMY , AIRFORCE AND NAVY .....
and yes when you go for UPSC interview it will be a + point for you that you are an ex serviceman

Hope it will help you.
Best wishes for your bright future.
Thank you!

Is studying in the NDA a good option for preparing for the UPSC CSE?
Hello,
NDA is conducted by UPSC for admission of candidates to army, naval, air force wings of NDA and INA, the age limit is 16-19 years, the eligibility criteria is passed 10+2 from a recognized board, only in case of air force and naval it's compulsory to have mathematics and physics at 10+2 level, coming to the duration of training for Army/Naval/Air Force Cadets it's four years, the degree awarded at the end is BSc or BSc Computer/BA/BTech for Army, and BTech in case of Air Force/Naval, however I would say if you're not interested in joining NDA to sustain in the institution of long time then then don't go for it, NDA is not only an institution but it holds immense pride, and it's a different sentiment altogether serving for your country, if you don't have your career goals aligned in this direction then it's better you pursue your graduation in a field as per your preference, and appear for UPSC, you can also consider going for professional degree such as medical science/engineering, or any other, there is no such restrictions, you need to be just a graduate from a recognized university, and attain 21 years as on 1st August of the appearing year,
