How many EWS seats are there in IIT Bombay, SP Jain and in NITIE? Also any concession in fee for EWS people? Thanks in advance.
Hello,
IIT Bombay has decided to introduce the quota for EWS in general category in two phases. They are planning to provide 10% quota to EWS whereas SP jain and NITIE offers reservations which are provided by the government.
There is no such concession given in fees for EWS people but in case your family income is less than 2lakhs per year, then you can fill a scholarship form for concession in fees.
Im Engineer Boy in General Category. Im expecting above 97%ile in CAT 2019 and sectional Percentile over 85% in all. Also, my 10th Score is 94.8%, 12th Score is 86.77%, Grad Score is 69.90% with 14 months of work experience. Should I expect a Call from NITIE, IIM B or IIT B ?
CAT SECTIONAL WEIGHTAGE:
IIM BANGALORE:
QA DLR VARC Overall
General: 80 80 85 90
NC-OBC: 70 70 75 80
SC: 65 65 70 75
ST: 60 60 60 70
PwD: 50 50 50 60
For all the Candidates shortlisted, the 10th and 12th board results are initially adjusted by dividing each such score by 90th percentile score of that board. And then an adjusted score is calculated for the Bachelor's degree for each of the candidates based on the final scores obtained by the candidate are used for the Bachelor's degree and professional degrees. For example,
CAT = 40
10th board = 20
12th board = 10
Bachelors = 20
Gender Diversity = 2
Work Experience = 8
The 40 points for CAT are derived from the performance in each of the three sections as follows:
Verbal & Reading Comprehension - 14 points
Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning - 16 points Quantitative Aptitude - 10 points.
With 97 percentile in CAT, you can certainly expect to be shortliated for IIM B.
NITIE: The cut offs depend on the programme that you have selected. Typically, the cut offs range from 85 ton97 percentile depending on the programme that you have selected. Here you may have a chance too.
I scored 97 marks in CAT, with 34,19 and 44 in VARC, LRDI AND QA respectively. With 69.43 in 10th, 89.4 in 12th and 8.34 in ENGR, and NC-OBC. Can I expect calls from New IIMS, IITS or NITIE?
Hii,
Its okay with your CAT Marks. What matters is your Sectional Percentile and Overall Percentile because IIM's and other Institutes offer the Interview call based on the percentile only. The Cut off depnds on the Difficulty of the Exam, no of students attended and maximum marks. Based on the previous years cutoff and all, you may get call from IIM Vishakapatnam and other new IIM's.
My graduation score is less than 60%, if my cat score is very good and If I have 15 months of work experience, can i get into new IIMs, SP jain mumbai, NITIE mumbai or any top B school in India?
For your kind information i am informing you that IIM takes weightage of your class 10,class 12 , graduation and CAT, by which they judge you that how much persistence you are and are you finisher or not, depending on different IIM's the weightage of your academic vary from 30%-50%. Where sometimes weightage of your graduation vary from 10%-20% and if you want a call letter from new IIM's then firstly you should have a good academic score if you don't have in graduation then need to have in class 10,10+2 and your chances will come true through your CAT score, yes you can have chances of having call letter from new IIM's but for being at a safer side you need to have 98.xxxxxx- 99.xxxxxx percentile in CAT exam and your work experience will also judge your reality , but you will be judge first on the basis of your academics and CAT score .
Best of luck.

I have completed my engineering in IT and I am planning to give CAT this year. I want to seek admission in NITIE Mumbai. What is the minimum cut-off required for the same?
Hello Aspirant,
Feline 2019 Cut Off for NITIE is relied upon to be 97 percentile. Admissions to PGDIM and PGDISEM projects are done carefully based on CAT scores. Subsequent to clearing the cutoff, up-and-comers will be required a Personal Interview Round. Number of seats that are accessible for the PGDIM program in NITIE is about 274.number of seats that are accessible for the PGDISEM program in NITIE is around 39.
fundamental qualification criteria to apply for the program is that a competitor must have Engineering/Technology certificate in any branch from a perceived college with 60% total imprints and a substantial CAT score.
My 10th,12th,B.E is (78,90,73) % respectively how much I need to score in cat TO get a call from NITIE mumbai and guarante my seat(NC-OBC)
Your qualification will make you eligible for the exam but you have to appear then exam and score the best to get an admission.
You have to score atleast 80% of total to get a secured position.
As the factor is there is high competition. So you have to make yourself prepare accordingly.
Hope it helps!
Is there any 100 percent scholarship program in NITIE Mumbai, if yes then what is the criteria???
Hi Sagar,
Since NITIE Mumbai is a government institution, it offers various schemes and offers for financially weaker students.
The college also offers various scholarships and stipends to their students during the course period.
Those students who are taking admission through GATE examination are given a stipend of 8k per month. The college also offers loan facilities for the student with the minimal interest charge.
Since there are lots of options available for the financial assistance, most of the students can complete thier entire course with the minimal cost or almost at free cost.
Hope it helps..!!
Good Luck...!!!!
