Hello aspirant.
Personally I feel NIT Goa is better than SRM or 95% of all private engineering colleges infinitely in all aspects. The opportunities you get there, the peers, the brand name and most importantly, the life that you will experience there will be far better than SRM by some distance.
NIT Goa is obviously better than SRM in terms of the campus culture, the extra-curricular activities, the quality of peer competition, the brand name, the location( it's Goa!), the opportunities you will get after graduation.
See this is a very hard comparison. Both of this universities are infrastructurally very good, they have wide curriculum, they have good placements and faculties. So its like comparing your right hand is better or your left hand. I know this confusion arises as IIT Goa is a new IIT and people think real IIT's are the old ones. But let me assure you, you will not have any less facilities in a new IIT also. Except its records there are nothing less about it. Now as you to be a professor at IIT, one need to be a post doc and they need to be very good at there respective fields. So the teachers will be great, the curriculum will be great. The placements will also be good as you see they are IIT's and companies will visit them no matter what. So don't worry about it, if you get a chance at IIT GOA just go for it.

I hope this answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
When you have to compare two colleges and have to arrive at a conclusion then you have to choose some of the parameters. This parameters can be a distinct number of events but to conclude this answer I am choosing some of the most important parameters like:
First of all NIT GOA is a government institute so the course fee you will have here is much lesser than that of SRM. Secondly, we all know that the NIT and IIT's are said to be the best for engineering for all over India. Now, the infrastructure in both the colleges are very good, there are nothing to distinguish about it. The curriculum in NIT's are more rigorous and you will need to be very competitive about it while in SRM the curriculum is relatively moderate. The teachers in NIT's are more qualified and most of them are involved in active research. So this way, you will get the knowledge from the best minds of India. Apart from this for placement also NIT Goa is ahead of SRM. May be as per records it sound that the highest packages in SRM is greater than NIT GOA but the median packages are higher than that of SRM.
So I would recommend you to go for NIT GOA rather than SRM.
**Before taking decisions, I would always recommend you to conduct some research by your own.

Hello,
Last year in round 6 of counselling a candidate belonging to general category (Goa state) with rank 50197 secured admission to Electrical and Electronics Engineering National Institute of Technology Goa. Considering the previous year cut off you need to secure rank around 50000 or below the previous year cut off rank this is because the cut off may increase or decrease depending on factors such as total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available. To secure such rank you need to score minimum 95.5 - 97 percentile or above in JEE Main.
To prepare for JEE Main you can check the details and enroll in our JEE Main knockout program
