Which one is better option, chemical engineering in nit durgapur or mechanical engineering in nit hamirpur??
NIT durgapur has an average package of 6lpa for Chemical engineering while NIT Hamirpur Has 5.5lpa for Mechanical engineering, overall both have baove 85% placements.
All in all its equivalent to consider both of them.

LNMIT is private institute for CSE and is very good in placements and offers 4.3lpa as average package and 90% Placements.
NIT Hamirpur provides 80% placements for Mechanical engineering and average package is 4.7lpa.
IIIT Guwahati for ECE is ambigous for placements as official reports not released.

I would like to tell you that your 12th percentage does not affect your rank or admision in NIT HAMIRPUR. If 220 is your rank in the JEE MAINS B.arch then YES you can easily get admision. But if its your marks then the chances are less for you.

The CAD-CAM program at NIT Hamirpur is good. The faculty is great with good infrastructure. The only thing of concern is placements which is not good compared to other branches of MTech
