See there is no any minimum percentile required to be eligible for admission in NITs for any category because the seat allotment process is based on the rank of candidate but if you are General candidate and wants to get into any NIT then you should at least try for 96-98 percentile in JEE-Main 2021 . See the qualifying cut-off percentiles which needs to be cleared by any candidate to sit in JEE-Advance is released along with the final result of JEE-Main and for JEE-Main 2021 the final result will be released after all four attempts will be completed and the final result will be on the basis of your best score amongst different attempts. However basis on previous year's cut-off trends we can help you with the expected qualifying cut-offs for this year :-

• Common Rank List (CRL) - 90- 95 Percentile
• GEN-EWS - 70- 75 Percentile
• Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 70- 75 Percentile

As far as IIIT Hyderabad is concerned, it has no Mechanical Department as such. The institute specializes in technologies like AI, Computer and Electronics Technology, Robotics and Automation.

NIT Jamshedpur, is perhaps one of the best institutes in Eastern India for Mechanical Engineering, next to IIT Kharagpur and IIEST Shibpur. The institute has good infrastructure, faculty and employer outlook. Unless you are from Home State, you need a Rank of about 20k (GEN), to confirm your seat at NIT JSR Mechanical. 2. NIT Jamshedpur

3. NIT Agartala

the locking of college preferences has been till 17th november. Hopefully you have filled in the same order. If not you don't have to worry as NIT jamshedpur and agartala are almost similar in all aspacts. The first round allotment will released on 26th november so untill then keep calm.

If you are college specific, then NIT Jamshedpur/ Raipur are better than NIT Srinagar in terms of labs, faculty and ranking.

But if you're branch specific; Then you should CSE Branch as average Package is  7.3 lakhs in Nit Srinagar.

Cse branch has more career options than metallurgy.

Now, both the colleges you wanted to compare are NITs and so both of them are obviously are out of the bests in the country. But if you really have to choose between civil engineering and computer science engineering, I'll personally suggest you to opt for computer science engineering if you are getting that. Computer science is undoubtedly the most important branch of engineering, in my opinion ofcourse, and it's growth is increasing in a very rapid rate. The demands are really high too, and this branch usually has the highest placements in most colleges. So, yes definitely i would suggest you to opt for CSE in NIT jamshedpur.
