i have recently qualified GATE 2020 (FRESHER)and got Mtech in embeded system from nit jamshedpur and also Mtech in Dsp from IIST Trivendrum . if placement is the main concern which one should i choose ?
Hello,
Hope you are doing well.
As per your question if we only consider and compare in terms of placement than:-
NIT jamshedpur:-
As per their officials NIT jamshedpur have an average package of 9LPA and highest package of 39 LPA. Also around 30percent students are placed in top organization.
IIST trivendrum:-
As per their officials average CTC package is of 5LPA and highest package is around 10 LPA.
So as per these officials if we compare both of them then NIT jamshedpur will offer you a higher package than that of IIST trivendrum. So you should choose NIT jamshedpur in terms of better package and placement.
Hope this helps you! Thank you.
i have got mtech embedded system from NIT jamshedpur also i am getting mtech in DSP from IIST trivendrum if placement is the main concern wherre should i go ?
IIST Thiruvananthapuram has good placements with companies like Airbus, Adobe Systems, Quest, Phillips, Math works, Delta Electronics and Viasat visiting the campus. The placement records show that the institute is growing every year. In the year 2019 , the 51 companies visited the campus which recruited 126 students in BTech and 72 students in MTech. The highest salary was recorded to be 8.2 LPA in BTech and 14.54 LPA in MTech
I have scored 94.7 percentile in Jee mains .Could I get admission in nit jsr and I m from jharkhand and my category is obc
hello aspirant,
well your percentile of 94.7 is good enough for getting admission in nits. since the cutoff for this year have not been declared yet. you have to wait till the cutoff is out.
as per the previous year cutoffs are concerned your percentile is good enough for admission in nit jsr with the obc quota. you have to wait for the rounds of josaa allotement.

is there any chance that a female obc- ncl student from Jharkhand with 120 marks can get into NIT Jamshedpur with home state quota . if yes , which branch ?
Hi aspirant,
With 120 marks your JEE Main percentile would be 96.5 approximately. You can check the marks vs percentile analysis on the following link: https://www.google.com/amp/s/engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile/amp
Based on this percentile you Common Rank list (CRL) rank would be 38,000 amd the corresponding OBC category rank would be 9,500. Yes based on this and your female and home state quota you will be getting admission in NIT Jamshedpur in branches like Electrical Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Production and industrial engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering. For Computer Science Engineering (CSE) you have difficulty. To know these in detail and to predict your other better options you can use our college predictor tool by clicking on the following link: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?ici=cp-listing_engineering&icn=JEE-Main-College-Predictor
All the best.
My state of eligibility is Jharkhand and my SC certificate is of Bihar. Am i eligible to get nit Jamshedpur under reservation and home state quota?
Hi,
I would like to answer your query. Yes you are eligible for the home state quota of Jharkhand irrespective of the caste certificate which you have from different state. The only criteria for home state quota is the state of eligibility i.e. the state where you have completed your 10+2. So you can definitely apply for the home state quota having your domicile certificate and 10+2 certificate from Jharkhand.
Hope this will solve your query.
Can I get into NIT Durgapur with 75.09 percentile in JEE MAIN for ECE? I belong to OBC-NCL category of West Bengal.
At your mentioned percentile your approximate all India rank would be around : 216,470 and last year cutoff in NIT Durgapur for ECE branch went around 13k so with this comparison you don't have chances of getting into NIT Durgapur for ECE branch.
For the prediction of more colleges you can go through the provided link:

Best of luck.
I got 75.09 percentile in JEE MAIN 2020 and Im from OBC-NCL Category. Do I have chances to get into NITs?
With 75 percentile in JEE mains you have degraded chances of getting into NIT with your category you still don't have chances,
But there are various colleges or deemed universities which take admission on the basis of JEE mains percentile for this you can predict through the provided link:

Best of luck.
what minimum marks should i score in jee 2020 sep to get admission into core branches in NIT Jamshedpur being a female obc- ncl student under home state quota ?
hi,
see cutoff score changes every year and it depends on certain facts like number of participants, questions difficulty level, seat matrix, students category, choice of stream etc. however since jee main april session exam is yet to held it is quite difficult to predict the cutoff score. now every state nits has 85% seats reserve for domicile candidates. based on previous years results you need to score above 97 percentile in jee main for admission to nits. so try to score as high as possible.
can girls take Mechanical at NIT jamshedpur for BTech...can I will face any problem there
Hi Iisharaj,
Yes, of course, girls can take Mechanical Engineering branch at NIT Jamshedpur, there is clearly no problem in that. NIT Jamshedpur is just as similar to other colleges. I know you are asking this because very less girls take this branch. See, if you have interest into something and have passion about it than nothing can stop you. So, feel comfortable and go for Mechanical without any overthinking, everything would be fine...

I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!
