should i go for mechanical in NIT surathkal or ECE with MNNIT Allahabad.. which will be better option for me for career point of view
Both are top colleges here first you will have to decide you branch preference if you are OK with mechanical then go with nitk surathkal as ranking wise it is better and you will have mechanical branch in case you like it and if you are cse oriented then without a second though go for ece mnnit as ranking may not reflect but mnnit is a far better college it has great coding culture and and is providing great placements so it finally depends on you on what you want to study hence choose wisely

I have got 2001 (ST rank) in jee mains . hs karnataka female how to do choices filling I want nit Surathkal for EC, EEE, IS or civil
Hi.
According to your rank i.e. 2001 Category rank you have good chances in following courses in NIT Surathkal:
(Highest to Lowest chances as per Round 6 of JOSAA and Female-Only Supernumerary seats included)
- Mechanical Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology)
- Civil Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology)
These are the branches that closed at approx. 2800 at 2600 ST Home State ranks.
I hope this helps.
Good Luck
if i am getting mining branch from suratkal and chemical from vnit nagpur which should i prefer more?I want cs placements as well as good nit tag?
Hello,
The placements of CSE and Chemical/Core branches differ and that is because of the industry demands you will not be able to find any college where a chemical department offers CSE level placements other than the highly prestigious ones e.g ICT,IITB,IITD,IITK,IIITM. In your situation I can suggest you two things here if you want good placements:
- Go for chemical engineering at VNIT because it will offer you a core branch for future scopes and broader avenues additionally you will also get a top NIT whereas minning being a new branch might not offer you same opportunities.
- Upskill yourself while you are in colleges through online courses, seminars, conferences. Stay updated about the advancements in technology because multiple organisations look for chemical engineers for Data Analyst roles.
Good luck, hope it helps!!
