Good Luck !
I got 93 percentile in jee mains can I get nit Surathkal (general category) any of the branch...? hs - karnataka female
It is very difficult to predict the actual jee mains rank from your percentile as it varies on several parameters like number of students appeared for exam, how tough the paper was along with how many seats are available in different universities and performance of candidates appeared. Based on previous few years trends and cutoff your predicted rank should be around 71610 to 80500.
Based on this rank any top ranking NITs will be difficult to get. To it will be difficult to get NIT suruthkal. The closing rank of NIT suruthkal mining engineering is 49774. So there is almost no chance. The NITs you may get are:
NIT agartala
NIT rourkela : both B.S + M.S in chemistry
Other colleges you may get are:
Central Institute of Technology, assam
Ujjain engineering college
Maharaja agrasen Institute of Technology

which branch in nitk suratkal you get for 95 percentile EWS category and home state
Hello Suresh. I hope you have performed well and have given your full effort for cracking JEE Main. I wish you all the very best for your results. If you secure 95 percentile and belong to EWS category, your CRL-AIR should lie within the range of 51150 - 57500 and you EWS rank should be somewhere around 3300 (may vary from actual). With this rank, you can have good window of opportunity to get admission at Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering , Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Mining Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering (slight possibility), Information Technology (slight possibility ) .
All I can say is if you score 95 percentile, you have high chance to get admission at most of the departments of NITK, Surathkal. So, feel free to participate in counselling and you will surely get a seat for pursuing your desired stream.

Which one is a better branch at NIT Surathkal for M. tech? is it CSIS or CSE? Post your views. ASAP.
Hello,
Nit surathkal is always one of the top most nit in India. CSE is also a tremendously important trade nowadays so both the combination is an amazing one. If we talk about CSIS then it is an trade based on cse with the highlite of Internet security. So this one is a new approached one. Day by day this stream should be developing. As you are appearing for Mtech then obviously you should choose a specialization subject to persue the degree. In that case it is pretty good to have a new topic . So I prefer you should take CSIS. Otherwise both are good and well placed .
Hope for the best.
Thank you.
Which is better to choose NIT SURATHKAL or IIIT hyderabad ? Actually very confused between the two? Can someone help me out?
Dear aspirant,
As per my view if you are planning to take up non core branches then absolutely you should go for iiit Hyderabad rather than nit surathkal but other than non core branches go for nit surathkal.
The placements for iiit Hyderabad at non core branches is equivalentm or evenb greater than some of the IITs . The core placements at nit surathkal is very strong. The average stays between 8-9L per annum.

as I got 81 percentile in jee mains ST category female karnataka can I get nit surathkal for cse or ise by csab councilling?
Hello Aspirant,
If we go through the analysis of marks Vs Percentile Vs rank for JEE-Main 2020 then according to the percentile mentioned by you in the question your CRL rank is expected to be in the range of 194370 - 218500 , you can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-
https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile
Or
You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank :-
https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor
Last year in seats were no left vacant for CSAB counselling for ST candidates so it is bit difficult to guide you about CSAB allotment but as we go through the latest cut-offs of JEE-Main 2020 of JOSAA 6th round then it shows that :-
Closing ST rank for NIT Surathkal was :-
Computer Science Engineering branch - 701 (Home state and female quota)
And your ST rank is expected to be around 9000-10000.
So you have quite low or almost no chances to get NIT Surathkal even if you have Home state quota.
But yes if you improve your percentile in any further session of JEE-Main like around 95+ then you might have a shot at NIT Surathkal with CSE branch.
You can check out the latest cut-offs from the link given below :-
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

As I got 81.92 percentile in jee mains can I get any branch in nit surathkal category -ST HS - karnataka female
Hello, Bindu. You have said you are from ST category, want to opt for Home State Counselling and your Home State is Karnataka. Well, based on your percentile that you have mentioned, your range of rank should be 184958 - 207920 (although this is an approximate value and it may vary with your mark sheet). Based on this rank, it is less likely for you to get chance in NIT (K) Surathkal under JoSAA Counselling. However you may get chance in NIT (K) Surathkal as per Central Seat Allocation Board Counselling.
As per CSAB Counselling, NIT (K) Surathkal cut-off trends in 2019 for females only are as follows:
- B.Tech Chemical Engineering (Closing AIR - 202717)
- B.Tech Civil Engineering (Closing AIR - 189554)
- B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering (Closing AIR - 122827)
- B.Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Closing AIR - 141496)
- B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering (Closing AIR - 178103)
- B.Tech Information Technology (Closing AIR - 71823 )
- B.Tech Mechanical Engineering (Closing AIR - 158793)
