Hello student as you've mentioned IT, i believe you're concerned about B.tech in information technology. Admission in NIT Suratkhal (Btech) is through Jee main entrance examination conducted by NTA.
ELIGIBILITY - Candidates should have passed class 12 in physics chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized board.
Admission is not based on MHTCET you need to appear and qualify Jee main to get admission in NIT Suratkhal.

Is it worth to do MCA in NITK after BCA? How to get into NITK?
Hello Aspirant,
I would say it is a good choice to pursue MCA in NIT Surathkal. As far as NITK is concerned, it stands among top 10 universities in India. It has amazing placements of about 95% with the highest offer being 18 LPA and lowest being 3.5 LPA and average 7-8 LPA packages. Infrastructure and faculty both are top-notch and well-trained with lots of experience. MCA intake in NITK is 51 in which 23 seats are for open general category.
Coming to the admission process, it will be done on the basis of performance in the entrance examination called NIMCET (National Institute of Technology MCA Entrance Test). The NIMCET is NIT MCA Common Entrance Test, a National Level Test conducted by NITs for admission in to their MCA programme. NITs at Agartala , Allahabad , Bhopal, Calicut , Durgapur , Jamshedpur , Kurukshetra , Raipur , Surathkal , Tiruchirappalli and Warangal offer MCA courses.
Hope this helps
All the best to your future endeavours

Hi Aspirant,
Rank varies as per the percentile from year to year. However you can expect NIT Karnataka at a percentile of 92-95 percentile. It is a good college and there are lot of competition to get the seat for general category. However if you are in Sc/ST then you can expect to get seat in second to third rounds even with cutoff of 90 percentile.
