Which is best option to join ?
Dear Aspirant
First of all Congratulating you on your nice performance that you deserve both of the nice college and I would like to tell you that based on two choices if you were to take my opinion then I would suggest you to take admission in nit meghalaya with civil engineering because it is a government college unlike vnr it which is private engineering college. NITs are always better than these private institute because of its placement scope and college atmosphere.so choose smartly considering my views.
Good luck for your admission :)
Feel free to ask if you have any further queries.
I got Jee Mains GEN RANK AS 57K *Gen EWS rank (7243)* Can I get NIT SILCHAR ,NIT MEGHALAYA ,NIT AGARTALA??? *CSE ,ECE, AND EEE ,ONLY in CSAB
Based on your rank in JEE main, you can get a seat in NIT Meghalaya and NIT silchar. You have less chances of getting a seat in core branches but still you might get it. For lower branches you can easily get them in CSAB spot round.
So please go for the CSAB spot round and try to get a seat for yourself.
All the best
Hope it helps

Hello aspirant,
The following steps are to be taken to apply for the special round of josaa:
Step 1: you will have to register online on the csab portal csab.nic.in as per the schedule and upload all the necessary documents such as mark sheet, category certificate etc.
Step2: then you have to pay the special round participation fees.
Step3:online choice filling and choice locking
Step4: seat allotment
Step5:reporting at the concerned Institute
Hope it helps.
Step 2;
I am general category male student .Can I get nit meghalaya cse in special round 2 if my jee main rank is 32080(other state)?
Hello aspirant,
It's highly advisable to try for the special round but it's not advisable to completely rely on it. Because spot round's closing ranks cannot be predicted. Sometimes there might be a 5k difference in closing ranks too. Sometimes there might be a difference of just a few hundreds. So we can't predict.
for civil eng how good nit meghalaya ...
NIT Meghalaya is one of the newest NITs established by government of India and is an Institute of National Importance. This NIT was established in 2010 and is still in its initial phases. The strength of students is considerably less. The lack of alumni network and its location in far northeast somewhat dampens your chances for things like GATE Preparation, IES preparation (very common among civil students). Nevertheless, due to immense investment by GoI and special location in Northeast, it is looked after very well and you can definitely go on for the NIT tag here. I will still warn you there will be no core companies coming. And there will be very less chance for industrial exposure from college. With some effort though, you can secure a coding job and that's the best you can get for placements.
Thank You.

My jee main percentile is 74.934 and ST category rank is 5757. Can i get in NIT meghalaya. I am from Assam.
Students from Assam do hold a native domicile of the state and state reservation also persist there as well. So its not obvious but probably you may get a seat under the same quota. Branch of your choice may be a factor of hinderance, otherwise just wait for the proceedings to begin.
If I got only 64 marks in jeemains which lower nits can i get like nit meghalaya, nit agartala.?is am eligible for assam universty ( obc) ctg
Hello,
With our marks of 64 in JEE Mains, the rank is definitely above 2 lac and thus I can expect OBC rank of above 75k. I would say you have little to no chance in any of the lower NITs even in any lower branches. Of all the NorthEast NITs you are aiming, you can most certainly forget about the NIT Silcher and NIT Agartala. Other NITs also close in pretty much around 20 or 30k (max) OBC rank.
Talking about your chances in Assam University, with all India quota, you can most certainly forget about that too as it also closed in and around 20k OBC rank. Though you might get a seat in some branches via CSAB Special round (some candidates with a rank around 3 lac also goat a seat). But my advice will be to keep looking for other state government colleges also along with JoSAA.
I have not considered home state eligibility for NITs and you might easily get a good seat with home state quota in lower NITs also.
Thanks.
Which nit is better nit agartala or nit Meghalaya??
First off,all the NITs hold National importance. People put in lot off efforts just to be there. Secondly, the ranking differs every year depending upon the crowd of the students.
When it comes to NIT Meghalaya or NIT Agartala, both are good at their respective place. Both provide ambience for you to explore Engineering field. It all depends upon you. Work hard and make use of the resources.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
