See there is no college in the country that will assure you for the permanent job. It is the caliber of the students that provide them a good packaged and secure job. If you are opting for the private sector jobs then it is totally your duty to make sure your position in the company for not getting fired. NITs might be providing you a better chances of unravelling yourself in the campussing by providing you a large no. Of options.

i suggest you take ECE in NIT Mizoram, The Placement Scenario of the ECE department for the Placement Session 2017–18 was quite commendable. Since ECE has the edge of sitting for both Core & IT companies, hence their placement is quite satisfactory.The average  of this session for the Department of ECE is with the 5.7 lakhs from Navaratna PSU and lowest  being 3.75 LPA offered by IBM Pvt. Ltd. 

• Virtusa Pvt. Ltd. 
• IBM Pvt. Ltd. -
• Infosys Pvt. Ltd. - 
• L&T Heavy Engineering - 
• Bharat Electronics Limited - 

Apart from these, there are a plethora of companies where ECE students got chance for placement as in:

NIT Mizoram is one of the new nit established in 2010, it is located in Aizam which has mesmerizing weather. Coming to infrastructure it has high tech infrastructure, visual classrooms infrastructure. Moving on to faculty, faculty is experienced, they are PHDs and some of them are master's. It has low ranking because of its location as it is located in remote area. Coming to placements , placement records has improved, now average salary package offered is around 8 lakhs and also ECE is branch which offers good scope in government sector.

To get seat into colleges through CSAB Special Round, one has to be first JEE Main qualified and should also have a valid rank. Now for OBC-NCL candidate, the JEE Main 2019 cutoff was 74.31 percentile. Since your OBC-NCL rank is 16k and you have already got a seat in NIT Mizoram, there is a chance that you could get other seats too in second round counselling of CSAB. So if you want, then attend the second round counselling and see which colleges are you getting at 16k rank. The NIT Mizoram is not the best NIT you can get in india. The education and faculty members all are very helpful but the problem comes with the placement as the placement are very less because not many companies visit here

Hello Pranay, NIT Mizoram is a very low ranking NIT and since you got NIT mizoram, your chances to get any higher ranking NIT is negligible. However some other NITs you may get in are:

• NIT agartala
• NIT srinagar
• NIT jalandhar
• NIT arunachal
• NIT sikkim

Even with a low rank, NIT mizoram is a very prestigious institute in the state and enjoys all the perks being of being a NIT. Reputation and brand often matters in case of placements, so go for it if you dont get any other better NIT.

Honestly, it isn't. Even CSE at NIT Mizoram isn't worth joining. Better you look for some private colleges. These are only for the sake of NITs, have some name otherwise say it the placements, nothing like a good government college.

Average package at NIT-M is around 4.5 to 5.5 lacs per annum. 

At NIT-Mizoram, it rises upto above 5.5 lacs per annum.

Whereas in NIT-N, it is around 4.1 lacs.
