My SC Category rank in JEE Main 2020 is 22174.Will I get nit puducherry cse?
yea you are able to get cse branch in puducherry nit if you are belong SC category .
you can council for it.
how many minimum percentile i need for nit Puducherry for computer science I belong to OBC but other state ( Tamilnadu). please tell my dear friends
Hello,
In 2019 a candidate belonging to OBC-NCL from other state with rank 4627 secured seat in NIT, Puducherry in Computer Science Engineering. You have not mentioned if you come under OBC-NCL or OBC-CL. If you belong to OBC-CL then you come under general category. In 2019 a candidate belonging to general category from other state with rank 15164 secured seat in NIT, Puducherry in Computer Science Engineering.
Cut off may increase or decrease this year depending on number of candidates appeared, difficulty of exam, number of seats available etc. You need to score minimum 97 percentile to 99 percentile to have decent chances of getting seat.
I got 92.31 percentile in Jan jee session. I belong to OBC and I am from Tamilnadu. can I get nit Puducherry??
Around 92+ percentile are required by general category to get admission in NITs. But as you come under obc category so there are very high chances that you might get admission in any of the NITs as per previous years trends. But as we all know that cutoffs changes every year so possibly you won't get your desired seat in NIT pondicherry, but can get any other seat in this or possibly you will get your desired seat in any other nit.
Hope I answered your query
Thank you

I have secured 94.69 percentile and comes under obc category,is their any chances of getting into NIT Puducherry in other state quota??
Your rank can be predicted by using the formula, (100-your total percentile)*869010/100. In your case, your approximate rank would be 46144. Let's say the number of candidates for April exam increased to 12,00,000 then your final rank shall be (100 - your total score) X 12,00,000/100.
The cut offs for previous years for various branches at NIT Puducherry for Other State Candidates has been as follows:
Civil: 9307
CSE: 4627
ECE: 6263
me: 8352
EEE: 8127
So with your rank even with OBC reservation, NIT Puducherry might be tad less. You might have to appear for April session.
You haven't mentioned your Home State to analyse your other options. This is because the cut off ranks are different for Home State Candidates and other State Candidates. Please do help us with your Home State. Meanwhile, now to predict colleges, please use our college predictor: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor
i got 78.37 percentile in jee mains. can i get PSG college of engineering, Coimbatore or NIT puducherry through home state quota ?
With your percentile, you overall rank will be around 187966. You can predict your own rank using the formula:
(100- your percentile score)869010/100.
Here, 869010 is the number of candidates who appeared in JEE mains January session. If the number of candidates change in April session, then your rank will change.
Also, this is not category specific rank.
Now, with this rank, you may get admission in NIT Puducherry. Looking at previous cutoff, you may get admission in CSE, civil, mechanical and electrical engineering through home state quota. It ranges around 1 lac to 1,90,000. You can see previous cutoff in the link below:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-nit-puducherry/amp
The cut-off for PSG College is not available yet, and so, it cannot be predicted. You can use our College predictor to see your admission possibilities:

Hope this helps!
