what is better nit sikkim cs vs nit agartala ECE vs nit srinagar cs ???
Hello,
I hope you are doing fine, NIT Sikkim for CS, NIT Agartala for ECE and NIT Srinagar for CS, All the above asked are equally good at its place. It depends on your preference where you want to study or where you will be comfortable. For CS students they dont need much Infrastructure. Just a laptop and a good Internet Connection would be enough and once if you get comfortable with thw surroundings with college you are good to go. So, chose the one which would give you best environment. All the above mentioned are good colleges though NIT Sikkim is newly built among NIT's but still it is a good college.
I hope you find this information helpful. I wish you all the best for your future.
Good Luck
My ews rank is 39642 and Im a female candidate. Is there any possibility of grabbing a seat in Nit sikkim(Im not from sikkim)? Any branch will do. (preferably biotechnology)
Hello,
This is a quite difficult to predict, as closing or cutoff rank keeps changing every year.
With 40000 EWS rank you don't have chances to get admission in any NITs.
But you can try for private colleges or state government colleges.
You can predict your college:

what is the percentile/marks needed for Nit Sikkim ? outside state (maharashtra) general category for cse branch jee 2022 aspirant . pls reply
Hello Aspirant,
See there are lot of uncertainties nowadays and cut-offs have shown a bit downside movement due to COVID-19 this year but usually it is in uptrend and if everything goes well for JEE-Main 2022 then again it is expected to rise, so at this point of time it would be very difficult to help you with exact score to get in JEE-Main and also the cut-offs of this year yet to be out because counselling will be conducted in October end but we can guide you upto some extent on the basis of JEE-Main 2020 cut-offs.
As we go through the latest cut-offs of 2020 then it shows that the closing CRL rank was 26007 for Computer Science and Engineering branch in NIT Sikkim under Other state quota for Open/General category.
Now to secure such rank you should have your JEE-Main 2022 score at least 130+ marks out of 300 and percentile against this should be around 98.7+.
You can check out the latest cut-offs from the link given below :-

Im from sikkim and my jee main rank is 654153 CRL can i get nit Sikkim from home state quota
Hello,
Saying it would be difficult because NIT Sikkim is a medium level of NIT but than too the rank is quite low and definitely you can face the difficulties for getting admission but you can try for sure in that college and also in different colleges as well.
Thank you..
I have ranked 2lac 68 thousand Gmr ( OBC - 91k) in jee main 2021. can i get Nit sikkim for Biotechnology?
Hi
Your profile suggests that your home state is West Bengal.
Nit sikkim doesn't offer btech biotechnology .
It's quite difficult to predict because cutoff keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like :-
******number of students that appeared in the jee main exam,
****** number of available seats,
****** performance of different students in the examination,
****** the category you belong etc.
But yes,
When we go through previous year trend then
>>>>> With 91k obc rank
It is quite difficult to make prediction but yes
You have low chance in nit sikkim for any branch.
For example,
In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020, under state closing rank was 13352 obc rank in NIT sikkim and it was for Civil engineering.
You can check the same at
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
You have very low chances in any nit, closing rank even for lower nits is around 15k - 16k obc rank.
But yes,
Some of the government engineering colleges in which you hold a chance on the basis of past year closing rank are listed below along with the link for their previous year cutoff :-

Can I get NIT sikkim with 80.76%ile in JEE main, from General category.I am from Assam
With this percentile it is unlikely for you to get a seat in NIT Sikkim. Your predicted general category rank will be around 1,70,000 and the closing rank of the lowest cutoff branch i.e Mechanical is around 55k ( other state quota ). You can try for other private colleges accepting jee mains score.
Good Luck :)
i got 75.01 percentile in jee mains i am belongs to obs category is there any chance in nit sikkim
Hello,
Using our JEE Main rank predictor tool 255648 - 287385 is going to be your overall expected rank. The rank can be predicted using the given link
https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor/
The category rank is expected to be over 40,000. The predicted rank may vary. Here is the cut off rankm(OBC-NCL Other state) in 2020 JoSAA round 6 counselling for admission in National Institute of Technology Sikkim
- Civil Engineering: 13352
- Computer Science and Engineering: 7402
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering: 11918
