Hey aspirant
Both NITs are good with 90% placements. When we come to infrastructures and facilities NIT silchar is more better. Also NIRF rank is more for NIT silchar. Campus size is more in NIT silchar . And also NIT silchar is established first.
can i get admission in nit silchar ...my home state assam ...category rank 53749 ( obc--- ncl)
Hello,
Here is the previous year cut off for OBC-NCL (Home state) category for admission in National Institute of Technology, Silchar in JoSAA round 6

Considering the cut off you do not have chances to get seat in NIT, Silchar in any branch under OBC-NCL (Home state) category. i got 79.2 percentile ,CRL of 190200 and my SC rank is 11230 ,can i get NIT silchar through homestate quota.
Greetings!
With both SC and home state quota coming into play together, it gives you a chance to get into the college, but only in core branches, for CSE/ Electrical related branches it is not going to be possible, and even in core branches even though you do have good chances you are still on border, so you can't be 100% sure on that.
However you can use this following predictor to get further information
