Yes, non-CSE people do get placed in IT companies.

1. If you are not interested in Chemical or Metallurgy then it is better to choose to NIT Trichy. You will have excellent exposure to great faculties, good access to internship and placements.

2. For getting into Software companies you will have to learn programming, and work hard to maintain your CGPA as well. You can do internships that align with your interests in software. That way you can improve your experience in this field and get a really good chance of getting placed in a good software companies with great package.

Yes, you can surely take instrumentation and control engineering at NIT Trichy. The placements are really good. This course is a full-time course for 4 years of duration. The total fee will be INR 5.63 Lakh.
