As per your question, both of the NITs have their good standards.So As per department wise we should compare their placement package through which we can select best of two.

1) NIT trichy:-

They offer an average CTC package of 6 to 7LPA  and an international package offer of $125000.

2) NIT kurukshetra:-

They offer an average package if 8.25LPA and highest CTC package of 40LPA.

So as per their placement comparison NIT kurukshetra have better figure compared to NIT trichy. So you can choose NIT kurukshetra as far as I am concerned but you can choose as per your convenience too as both of the NITs are good.

But actually NIT tiruchirappalli is one of the best top 10 engineering colleges in india. So you should have a better rank to get into this college. According to the previous year closing rank was 4k for sc. So it is is totally impossible to get into this college with this rank.

as per students verified reviews we can state that placements of national institute of technology, trichy are very good , highest package offered to student was of 40 LPA by UBER while average and lowest may range in between 6 to 12 LPA , some of the top recruiters are MS, GS, amazon, oracle , infosys, tech mahindra and many more

Dear Aspirant, National Institute of Technology , Trichy authorities will release  Cutoff in online mode after JEE main results declaration.

Giving  JEE Main cut off based on previous year for male SC category in NIT trichy :-

• Chemical engineering-H.s-6102,O.s-1795.
• Civil engineering-H.s-6564,O.s-1455.
• Computer engineering-H.s-1300,O.s-138.
• Electronics and communication engineering-H.s-2939,O.s-450.
• Mechanical engineering-H.s-2933,O.s-842.
• Electrical engineering-H.s-4417,O.s-890.

Cut off may varies for every year it depending upon many factors like no.of candidates applied for JEE main,no.of seats available, paper toughness, previous year cutoff trends etc.

You got good percentile in JEE mains but you didn't mentioned your home state or marks  you achieved .You may good chances for NIT it has chances for 7 rounds of counselling and 2 special counsellings cut off will be good enough for you.
