How to get admission in this college after 12
Hey Kartik,
NLSIU is one of India's most prestigious law universities offering students undergraduate, postgraduate and research courses on legal education. Students can apply for UG & PG courses such as B.A., LL.B., LLM and MA. NLSIU also offers advance research level courses like Ph.D., M.Phil. and LL.D. Admissions for UG and PG courses have been already announced by the university. Students have to give the CLAT exam (Common Law Admission Test) in order to apply for the desired course. Selection will be completely based on the marks obtained in the CLAT exam. CLAT is a law entrance test for students seeking admission to various National Law Universities in India. Apart from CLAT, NLSIU also conducts a separate entrance test, namely, Policy Aptitude Test (PAT) for MA in Public Policy & Research Entrance Test for M.Phil & Ph.D programme.
Good Luck.
How many marks we scored in clat to study in NLSIU banglore
Hello student,
As national law school of india university Banglore is one of the top most NLSIUs of India and it is a dream NLSIU for each of the clat aspirants.
As the scores varies from year to year so to remain on the safe side you need to score somewhere around 145 marks to get a seat there.
Hope it helps.
Thank you :)
Is hostel is compulsary in nLsiu
Hy Ayush!!
Talking about NLSIU , Bangalore, then Yes , hostel is mandatory for all the students studying there. The hostel fee is already included in the fee structure given by them .
Need not to worry ,they have a nice hostel and you will ne exposed to better opportunities while staying in the hostel ,
For the first year students they have dormatory system , others have their rooms to live.
So it will be a great experience staying there.
Hope you make it up to NLSIU !!
GOOD LUCK
Is there an age limit for 5 year L.L.B. course offered by NLSIU?
Dear Vamsi, for an admission into B.A LLB course, you should not have completed 20 years of age as on July 1st of the year of admission. In the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/disability category, the maximum age limit shall be 22 years. Apart from this there is no other criteria for age relaxation.
Do we get internship opportunities?
I am preparing for clat. I am currently scoring 85-95 in mocks. I am a dropper . What are my chances of getting into NLSIU banglore.
Hi,
As of now there are only 53 seats (out of 80) for UR category candidates. In 2018 the Last UR category candidate who got admission in NLSIU secured 66th rank in CLAT 2018. Here I would also like to tell you that there is no reservation for State domicile holder candidates. Aman Garg got 159 out of 200 marks and was ranked first. If the reservation/quota situation remains as it is and you score of 85-95 remains among the top 53 candidates then you can be sure of getting a seat at NLSIU Bangalore. But, going by the trends, as you are a candidate who belongs to General category, I have to say that with this CLAT score of 85-95 you won't be able to secure a seat in any NLU, leave alone NLSIU Banglore which is most sought after by the CLAT aspirants. As you are from MP I would like to tell you that even in newly established DNLU Jabalpur an UR candidate, who scored 95.5 (CLAT Rank 3605) with state domicile was offered a seat only in Second round of allotment. So, you have to work hard on improving your performance to get a seat at any NLU. I hope it helps!
If someone can tell me a thing or 2 about placements,It will be great??....please
Hey Imran.
The top 4 NLUs have a similar pattern of Placements. NLU bangalore has been the top law school in India since a lot of time.
Various top Law firms and companies visiting for placements are- Amarchand Mangaldas, Surana and Surana, Luthra & Luthra, Khaitan & Co, Lakshmi kumaran & Sridharan, ALG India, Trilegal, AZB & Partners. Various companies like Delloite, WIPRO, KPMG, ICICI also offer placements.
The average package is around 12-14 lakhs per annum. Best of luck!
Does NLUJ provide a better overall experience than NLSIU or NALSAR (in terms of campus life, parties, co-curricular etc.)?
Well i am talking about NALSAR....No doubt the campus is brilliant and hostel life is the best. but to start with First the professors are not up to the standards if you want to join NALSAR than be ready to motivate yourself and make the best of the opportunities that you get which well be present. The class room teaching will not aid you in any manner for your future especially if you are seeking a corporate career. Faculty is a problem in India and presently I would say NLS, NUJS and Jindal Law have the best faculties. Other colleges including NALSAR can boast of only one or two names but thats about it. I agree that NLS is anytime better than NALSAR... but, if you get into anyone of them, nothing comparable to that.
NALSAR Pros : better hostel, larger campus, better infrastructure overall.
NLS Pros : Reputation, library, IN bangalore city
Cons : infrastructure, hostels.
How does NLUJ compare to NLSIU?
Hey.
NLU, Jodhpur and NLSIU, Bangalore both NLUs are among the top Law colleges in India. But NLSIU has a slight edge over NLUJ and other NLUS because of which it has constantly been the 1st Rank in Top law colleges in India. Faculties in both colleges are great. Academic system in both colleges is good. But it is more rigorous in NLSIU because of Trimester system. NLSIU is older than NLUJ and has a vast alumini network. The placements of both colleges are great but it has been better in NLSIU in the past years. NLUJ is also a great option but NLSIU has an edge over it.
Best of luck!
