Hi does an international student need to sit for CLAT test. Any reservation for international student. What are other requirements and fee s
Hi Mehtaab,
Thanks for asking, all you have to do is just contact the officials of that college or NLU where you want admission. You will be admitted directly. Also, the fees structure is different from the rest of the candidates, it is a little bit high as compared to others.
Foreign candidates will be admitted directly on the basis of their performance in the qualifying examination, overall academic record and command over the English language.
The candidate must have studied the English language as one of the compulsory subjects in 10+2 or equivalent Higher Secondary School Examination.
The Admissions Committee may organize an English language competency test if found necessary.
Preference will be given to the candidates from SAARC countries and other developing countries. They are exempted from taking the CLAT and the rule concerning age limit.
They will have to apply directly to the University in the prescribed format available on the NLU Website within the time period given by them.
The candidate will be provisionally admitted only on his/her having the required proficiency in the English language.
Good Luck!!
What is expected clat cutoff for general category to join NLSIU?
Hi Yadnyesh,
CLAT Cut Off is the minimum marks that a candidate must score to get shortlisted for the subsequent selection rounds. The cut off will be released post declaration of CLAT Results 2018 . Candidates are granted admissions on the basis of cut off released by the participating colleges.
- Predicting cutoffs for any exams even before you have seen the questions would be too inappropriate and foolish. One can only give assumptions based on previous data. But, the cut-off is dependent on the difficulty level of the paper and the quality of the aspirants. It will also depend on the medium of exam-online or offline. generally one see more scoring in offline exams as has been witnessed in CLAT.
- For CLAT, if your target is top 3 NLUs, a score of 140+ is sufficient(depending on difficulty), and is achievable by proper planning, regular studies and practice.
CLAT 2017 cut off for NLSIU was 139.75 marks and rank 69 for unreserved. For more previous years cut-offs just go through this link.

Hello Safalta , Admission in the B.A , L.L.B.(Hons.) Degree programme is purely on merit based .The main criteria to get in is to give and score in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT ) conducted by the CLAT committee constituted for Admission purpose.
How can one be prepared for clat exam? What are the course and topics covered ?
There are 5 sections in CLAT. You need to cover all the syllabus.

What is the minimum marks required for seeking admission in NLU.
Hi Archit, thanks a lot for your question.
There are 20 NLUs in India. While 19 of them accept CLAT score, one - NLU, Delhi - conducts its own entrance exam known as AILET.
Just like IITs and IIMs the quality varies immensely within the 20 LNU. To get an admission in top NLUs, such as NLSIU, NALSAR, NLIU, NUJS, GNLU etc is extremly competetive, while its relatively easy to get admission in other NLUs.
Based on past trends, some experts have predicted the cut off's for CLAT 2018 which ranges between 125 to 148. i.e. the minimum you should aim to score to get admission in the top 3 NLUs is 125 out of 200 marks. These are of course predictions. To get more details and previous year trends of cut off ranks for all the NLUs, please click on this link - https://law.careers360.com/articles/clat-cutoff
For NLU Delhi, you should aim to score between 90-100 (or above) in AILET if you belong to General category. For cut-off details in other categories, please refer to this link - https://law.careers360.com/articles/ailet-cutoff
Feel free to ask if you have another query. all the best.
