Being from sc catagory and expecting 83 marks in clat what are my chances to get into top 10 nlus
The cut off for admission in National Law Universities through CLAT is a lot lesser than what is required ny the general category. The cut off for top 10 NLUs according to previous year trends would go in a range of 120 or maybe 140 depending on the level of difficulty etc for general category. But for the SC category, a score of 83, would be decent for a fair chance in the top 10 NLUs. For Top NLUs like NLS Bangalore and NALSAR chances might be less. But for the rest you seem to have a fair chance.
I am expecting a score between 140-150 in Clat 2019.Which nlus i may get?
If you are expecting a score of 140-150 than you can expect NALSA, NUJAS and colleges below them. Though there is still time for the results to come and anything can happen at last moment so I would suggest to keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best. Wait for the results to come out. So that we can give you exact information and better help.
I hope this helps you and if you have any questions please drop a comment below.
Thank you and best of luck.
with an expected score of 95 what are my chances in top ten nlus
Your chances in the top 10 NLUs with a score of 95 is less likely as general cut off according to past trends for NLUs is a score of 110+.
Still, you might just get a chance if there's a vacancy in one of the NLUs after the admissions are over.
All the best!
Hey I m from OBC category and I had attempted 167 questions in CLAT 2019 And I m Getting around 135+ ,What are My chances for top 5 NLUs?
If you are expecting more than 135 and you are pretty confident and if we also see previous years cut off trends than I would say you might get good top ranked national law Universities. For now let's just patiently wait for final results and hope for the best , keeping are fingers crossed.
If you have any more questions please drop a comment below.
Thank you and best of luck.
I answered 186 questions out of 200 in CLAT. What are the chances of me getting in the top 5 NLUs?
Dear Samayeta
It's very difficult to predict the cut offs before the marks are released, considering there were a lot of technical errors. This happened last year as well. The predicted cut offs before the marks were released were around 140–145+ for top 3 NLU's. However the official cutoff for NLS itself was 137–138.
But faking into consideration a score of 185, your chances are pretty High to get in top 5 nlus
good luck
Is there any weightage given to single girl child in Clay NLUs
There's no specific preference given to a single girl child in CLAT NLUs admission procedure as such, however a horizontal reservation of 30% of the total seats shall be filled by eligible female candidates including those selected in reserved and foreign national categories.
My rank 4384 general female mp domicile what are the chance in nlus
Hello Vijay!
Considering your rank, category and domicile status, you have decent chances of getting admissions here.
NIRMA
University is considered as one of the prestigious law imparting
institutions. It is a good options to
consider after the top NLUs. It has highly professional and qualified
faculy, student friendly environment and certainly good level of
academics. With active placements and average salary package as
8-10 lacs per annum, it is a prominent option among law aspirants.
Generally rank upto 4000 -5000 is good enough for admissions in here and if your rank is well within the range then getting admission here will not be tough.
Hope this hepls, All the best!
What do you reckon will be the cut off for general category this year in CLAT for the top 3 NLUs?
Here is a list of top 5 NLUs and their respective cut off ranks for the general category for admission through CLAT in the previous year. You can expect a similar range of cut off ahead too. The score required to get a rank in this range differs a lot each year. Sometimes for top 5 NLUs you'd require a score of 140+ in some year it was 120+. So it changes a lot due to several factors like level of difficulty or level of competition etc.

I got a score of 128.25 and rank air 3140 and belongs to an all India general category. Do I have a chance of getting in any of the nlus??
The cut off for admission in any of the National Law Universities through CLAT in the previous year was a rank in the range of 1600 for the general category. Considering that your rank is 3140, you do not seem to have any chances for any of the National LawUniversities if you belong to the general category in any subsequent allotment lists. Even for NLU Sonipat chances are not much.
Usually there are vacancies in the lower NLUs as people leave their seats for other colleges. You might have a fair chance then. But vacancies are very uncertain and you might/ might not have a chance.
For vacancies, you need to catch up with official websites of each lower tier NLU. As thw vacancies are handled by NLUs themselves and not through any common mode.
Also, if you have other optiona various non NLU law colleges and even private colleges are better than the lower tier NLUs. So you can prefer joining those instead of waiting for vacancies if the fees isn't a problem. As there isn't much difference in fees of various NLUs and private colleges too.
Other than colleges with their own entrances, There are various Private Colleges that accept CLAT scores other than the National Law Universities. You might even have a chance for colleges under IPU, Delhi if you applied there.
Here is a list of a few of them.
