Im graduated from B.com and i want to do 3 year llb from NLU so can i apply for this and what the procedure for it. plz suggest me
Hello,
NLUs don't offer three years law programs, all of it offers integrated law courses for a duration of five years based on 12th qualification, now coming to LLB program, the eligibility criteria is passed Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with 45% marks and in case reserved category it's 40%. Universities like DU and BHU require minimum 50% marks while universities like Kurukshetra, Rohtak, Meerut require only 45% marks in graduation.
Admission process varies as per the norms of the university, for some it's based on the entrance test, while for others it's based on the merit of the qualifying examination.
Some of the top entrance test conducted as follows-
- DU LLB conducted by Delhi University
- BHU-UET(Law) by Banaras Hindu University
- LSAT, its entrance scores are accepted by many universities
- TS- LAWCET- Law Common Entrance Test is conducted by colleges and universities in Telangana
- AP LAWCET is conducted in Andhra Pradesh for admission to various law colleges and universities
- KLEE, its scores are accepted in various law colleges and universities of Kerala.
- MAH CET LAW, its scores are accepted by various law colleges and universities in Maharashtra
Is there any age limit to apply for NLU ?
CLAT is the entrance examination for admission to NLUs across India including NLU Cuttak. Now there is CLAT UG and CLAT PG. And for both CLAT UG and CLAT PG, there is no age limit. You just need to fulfil the educational qualification. For CLAT UG which is the entrance examination for admission to 5 year integrated LLB Programme, you should have completed your 12th or its equivalent from any recognised Institution. And you should have secured a minimum aggregate of 45% in your 12th. It is 45% for General Category, OBC, EWS and it is 40% for SC,ST Categories. For CLAT PG which is the entrance examination for admission to LLM Courses, again there is no age limit but you should have completed your Graduation from a University recognised by the Bar Council of India. And you should have secured a minimum aggregate of 55% in your Graduation. It is 55% for General Category, OBC, EWS and it is 45% for SC,ST Categories. There is also no cap on number of times you can appear for CALT. Hi there! Ive recently got admission in dharmshastra national law university Jabalpur but because of some circumstances I can not join the university. Ive already paid the fees and now I want to cancel my admission. Please help me out. Do they refund my amount??
Hi,
Well to clarify as to how much amount of money they will refund back to you, you need to contact the office if your university and they will let you know whether they will refund the amount or not. Usually the amount is not refunded in full but after deduction some amount might be refunded. Just call them or email them asking this and they will help you out.
