National Law University, New Delhi
Hello,
The cut-off is a parameter that depnds on your caste or category. The expected cut-off of CLAT is available in the website of Careers360 and when I checked it the rank should below 1,000 in order for General category to get admission in NLUs. But if you belong to SC/ST you may get to some NLUs with these ranks.
Hello aspirant,
I am also from general category so I can understand your pain. The case you are talking is just that, some student from sc/st category having less score than you will get admission and you will not is because the cutoff for general and other categories are very different. The cutoff for general category is very high than compared to that for sc/st.
Hope you got my point, don't loose hope.
Hello Arun,
Based on the marks you have scored and the category you belong to, you might have a chances to make it into the NLU. As you have obtained an boarder score it will be better if you start looking for other colleges also on the other hand for safe side. Don't lose your hope and keep trying through various counselling sessions.
Good luck!
Hi Candidate,
You have scored well in CLAT. It is possible for you to get an admission in NLU Vizag only if you belong to any category other than general. The closing rank of general category is 1k which is not in the range of your rank. All the best. Hope you get a seat in the college you desire.
Hello Shivam,
Based on the marks you have obtained and the category you belong to you might have a chances to get into the NLUs. Therefore make sure to apply and appear for the counselling sessions. For more details about the cut offs required you can go through this link, https://law.careers360.com/articles/nlu-cutoff.
Hello Shivansh,
To get an admission in NLU you have to appear and qualify in the national level entrance examination called CLAT. If you manage to qualify in this examination then you will definitely be able to make it into the college. The admission for law courses in NLU is purely merit based.
Hey there
NLUs have higher cutoff and as you have not mentioned your category then in general category you have very less chances of getting any NLUs. I suggest you to join private colleges for law.

Hello Aspirant,
Assuming that you belong to general category I am very sorry to tell you that you might have a very less chances to get an admission in some NLUs. But don't worry about it and keep trying through various counselling sessions. For the safe side start looking for some other colleges also.
Hello there,
Vivekanand Institute of professional studies(VIPS) is a better option than National law university.
Well IP University is a prestigious and well established University.
The Major problem with DNLU is that it is the most recent college, no one knows what the faculty will be like, how will the administration work. Again if you are someone who expects 100% corporate placement after 5 years, then may be DNLU might not be a good option.
GOOD LUCK!!!
There are no chances of getting NLU Jabalpur in vacancy with this rank because they do not consider any rank below 2800 for a general category candidate. You have some chances of getting into NLU Sonepat with this rank of yours but in my opinion you should not take admission in such a lower ranked NLU. First of all it will be its first batch so you cannot predict how good it will be in future.Taking admission in such a college is a risk. Last year NLU Jabalpur also started its first batch and at present it comes under lower ranked NLUs. Moreover the biggest problem with NLU Sonepat is its location. If you just want to run after the tag then only go for it otherwise I would suggest you either join a private college(which would be much better than any such NLU) or you should take a drop and aim for a tier 1 or tier 2 NLU. I dont think so that it will be a sensible decision to take admission in such a lower ranked NLU because there will be no seniors to guide you and after five years you will face many problems. It is not even having its own campus, its under construction so you can predict how good it will be to take admission in such a college. Apart from this Harayana isn't a hub for law firms. In India there are three hubs for law firms- Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. So try to take admission in a good private college(like Law College Dehradun, UPES, ICFAI, Llyod Law college, Amity, IMS Unison) or you should take a drop to aim for a good NLU. All the best!
