Should I go for nlu sonepat ??
Hi Gunjan!
Greetings !
This is a very tough question right now. I must say it’s a gamble. The infrastructure is being developed. There is no information of permanent faculties. Fee Structure is also unknown. It has started taking admission from this year only i.e no senior to guide you or no alumni base. Libraries which are very important part of any nlu is missing too. But hey it has locational advantage of being in NCR region.Getting internships and workshops will be easy. And no nlu was great from its first day. Every reputed nlu is the result of rigorous work done by both students and staffs. If you are not getting any other good colleges and you don’t want to take a drop you can go there. You’ll have an nlu tag and if you both (you and university) will work hard both of you will come out winning.
Please upvote if this was helpful to you.
Thank you and good luck.
Nlu tamilnadu or nlu sonepat or vips ? Which should I prefer
Hello Gunjan, please check out the following link for detailed info on Vips, delhi and NLU TN:

NLU tamil nadu at Tiruchirapalli is doing much better than NLU sonipat in terms of course staructure, department, infrastructure, future prospects etc however both are relatively very new institutes and quite lower rank NLUs, but all NLUs although have a certain brand image in India for Law, VIPS on the othe hand fares much better than them both, and also being a relatively older institute, has somewhat managed to develop firm on the grounds of repute.
So I would have gone for NLU TN because of it being an excelling NLU and then comes VIPS which obviously has excellent campus, departments and nfrastructure along with future prospects too, but is privately owned if that may be a deciding factor for it. But my personal opinion afterall

I scored 102.5 in clat 2019 and my rank is 10136... what is my chance in nlu assam, nlu aurangabad , hpnlu and in nlu sonipat?
Hey.
The cut off for admission in any of the National Law Universities through CLAT in the previous year was a rank in the range of 1600 for the general category. Hence with a rank of 10136 your chances for an NLU under the vacanies are very less. Usually there are vacancies in the lower NLUs as people leave their seats for other colleges. Various NLUs have started announcing their vacant seats like NLU Raipur. But a rank under 3000 is fair for vacancies. This year the vacanies are quite a lot, so you can stil apply if uoud like to try. But to be honest with your rank if you belong to the general category you have hardly any chances.
Best of luck
my rank is 1296 in clat 2019 can i get nuals kochi or nlu vizag in vaccancies?
Hey Mansha.
The cut off for admission in any of the National Law Universities through CLAT in the previous year was a rank in the range of 1600 for the general category. Hence with a rank of 1296 your chances for an NLU under the vacanies are very good. Usually there are vacancies in the lower NLUs as people leave their seats for other colleges.
Various NLUs have started announcing their vacant seats like NLU Raipur. And this year there are many vacant seats. Hence you should keep updated with the official websites of NLUs and apply as with your rank you have great chances. Also NLUAS has released a performa to be filled if you wish to be considered for admission in vacant seats. Last date to fill is 10th july. Do fill the form asap. And best wishes.

My AIR is 6573 I have applied for vacant seats in nlu shimla is there any chance I might get it or in any other nlu in vacant seats general
The cut off for admission in any of the National Law Universities through CLAT in the previous year was a rank in the range of 1600 for the general category. Considering that your rank is 6573, your chances are less.
Usually there are vacancies in the lower NLUs as people leave their seats for other colleges. You might have less chances even then. Usually a rank under 3000 is safe for admission under Vacanies.
Though chances are less i would still suggest you to apply for it as firstly there is no harm in trying and also because this year there have been quite a large number of vacancies among different NLUs.
Along with HPNLU other NLus like NLu raipur etc also have vacancies you can check their official websites too.
But along with it i would also suggest you to not only rely on this and also find another back up option in case you don't get selected because your chances are quite less.
Other than colleges with their own entrances, There are various Private Colleges that accept CLAT scores other than the National Law Universities.
What should I do? [BA(Hons.) Pol Science+ LLB from DU] or [BA LLB from NLU ASSAM]? Guide please. I am Delhi Resident and also pursuing CA.
Hello Anurag!
Delhi university and National law University both are among the top universities in India.
B.A(Hons)Pol Sience from DU is an A grade course choice and so is LLB. The former is an undergraduate course of 3 complete academic years. Admission in it is done on the basis of Class 12th merit. The later i.e LLB is a post graduate course in Delhi University with the eligibility condition of graduation in any field from a recognised institution.Admission in this is done via an entrance exam conducted by Delhi University. LLB from DU is also a 3years course. So combining the total academic years for both the courses make it to 6years.
Considering BA LLB from National law University, it is an integrated undergraduate course of 5 yeras providing a degree in BA+LLB.
Considerindg the utilistaion of academic yeras in both the options and analysing individual significance of these courses, it is suggested to opt for BA LLB from NLU Assam. Reason being firstly, it will save your one year that you may utilise in gaining other practical experiences and focusing on your other professional qualification for CA, secondly NLU Assam is a constituent college of NLU consortium and thirdly the need to give another entrance for pursuing LLB after gradaution shall be eleminated since you will be opting for an integrtaed course.
The above provided are pure suggestions, the final decission should be yours.
Hope this helps, All the best!
If given an option between lower nlus and vips in ipu..what should I go for ?
Hello student,
VIPS in an established institutes and among the top under IP University. It is based in Delhi and hence it has a great locational advantage in terms of internships and placements with District courts, high court, supreme court, and many good law firms and lawyers in the same city. Colleges like VIPS etc are doing better than these lower Tier NLUs and you cant expect the same for NLU Sonepat. SO I would suggest you to not just dig the NLU tag and go for VIPS because as of now it is doing much better than lower NLUs.
Cheers!

Hello, please check out the following links for detailed info on cutoffs for NUSRL Ranchi, CNLU Patna, NLUO Cuttack, NLU Delhi.

With 2200 gen category rank in CLAT, you may not get admission into the any govt law college, you would have had a chance in CNLU Patna if you have had GEN-SAP category, but otherwise it doesnt seem possible. However there are plenty good private colleges offering LLB courses like KIIT school of LAw, Symbiosis, etc you can try applying to those.
How about in admission DBRANLU, Rai, Sonipat, Harayana. Is it Good if admission in NLU Rai.. This year.
Hey.
Just like NLU Sonepat, many new National Law Universities have opened, the number of vacanies are also quite more. The lower tier and New NLUs are not as preferred as much as the other NLUs. Somehow they lack in the area of placements, faculty, other opportunities etc. Many students prefer to opt for other colleges than these lower Tier NLUs as they offer better opportunities and facilities overall. If you compare traditional colleges or other private colleges like Symbiosis, Jindal, Christ, Nirma, Narsee Monjee etc these colleges are way better than lower tier NLUs including NLU Sonepat. They will have better placements, better faculty, better internship opportunities.
You will also have guidance from your seniors. The fees difference is also not much btw various private colleges and NLUs as fees of NLUs are more than what government colleges usually take.
Now it all depends on which options you have. If you have to choose between well established and ranked private colleges it is better to opt for those instead of NLU Sonepat. But if you're choosing between the not so well ranked private colleges or don't have other option then you can consider taking admission here instead.
Best of luck
