The National Means cum Merit Scholarship Examination ( NMMS ) is conducted every year by Science Branch of Directorate of Education, Delhi for the students studying in class VIII of Govt./Aided schools.

The syllabus for this exam is not fixed .Generally whatever you have studied in your 7th and 8th class came into your exam .

You can prepare the 7th and 8th class topics from your NCERT books. These are good.

the 2nd eligibility criteria is that student’s parent income must be less than Rs. 1, 50,000/- per annum

The paper is out of 180 marks and the results are released in the month of Feb/March

NMMS - National Means -cum-Merit Scholarship it provides scholarships to students who pursue NMMS exam . The application form for NMMS 2020 has been released. Students can apply in offline /online mode . Student studying class VIII from any board (CBSE or State Board ) can apply for the exam . The exam will be conducted for 180 marks with 2 parts .

• MAT - Mental Ability Test - The Mental Ability Test section will have 90 objective types, multiple-choice questions. All are one mark questions. Questions will be based on analogy, pattern perception, classification, hidden figures etc. and they will test a student’s reasoning and critical thinking skills.
• SAT - Scholastic ability test - The Scholastic Ability Test also consists of 90 objective type. Questions will come from subjects and topics taught in class VII and VII Science, Social Science and Mathematics and will test the scholastic aptitude of a student. All are one mark questions.
