There are certain eligibility criteria that one has to fulfil to be able to write the National defence academy/Naval Academy or NDA/NA examination.

• Academic wise eligibility criteria is-

----- Candidates must be 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

• Most of the time age is the deciding factor for eligibility. Now the age wise eligibility criteria is that the candidate must be between 16.5 to 19.5 years of age.

• Also for the NDA 2022 examination the DOB of the candidates for the two attempts is as following-

• NDA -1, 2022

DOB Between - 2nd July 2003 to 1st July , 2006

• NDA - 2, 2022

DOB Between- 2nd January , 2004, to 1st January , 2007

---- Currently you are around 17 years old, and you still have 2.5 years to turn 19.5 Years.

So you can appear for the NDA examination till 2024 and if we count the attempt including the two attempts this year then you have a total of 5 attempts.

The age limit for the NDA exam is 16.5 years to 19.5 which means if you were born in June 2004 you can give NDA exam till NDA 2022( NDA 2022 1 and 2) .

Other eligibility criteria is that a student should Physics and Maths in his class 11 and 12(for Indian  Air force and Indian Navy ).

Sorry to say that but in 2023 your will not be eligible for nda examination ,to be eligible for nda ,a candidate must have age between 16.5 to 19.5 and till then you will older than that ,and hence you can't give the exam but don't loose hope there are many opportunities in future also like if you want to go in defence than you can apply for afcat and CDS OTA .

Hope you are doing great ! In your class 11th you can't appear for national defence academy ,only 12th appearing and passed student can give this exam and your age must be between june2003 to july2006 ,this is for only nda 1 2022 ,this will change after ,however age criteria is from 16 years to 19 years or around it . But start preparing from your class 11th so that in future you will not face any difficulty.

The National Defence Academy is the joint defence service training institute of the Indian Armed Forces, where cadets of the three services i.e. the Indian Army, the Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force train together before they go on to respective service academy for further pre-commission training. On successful completion, they are Commissioned as Permanent Commission Officers and posted as officers at any of the Air Force Stations. You can join NDA by taking the exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). This exam is conducted twice a year in all major cities throughout India.

To qualify the Vision Standards for NDA Exam 2022 NDA here is some criteria:

1. The distance vision (corrected) should be 6/6 in the better eye and 6/9 in the worse eye .
2. Myopia of more than 2.5 D is not allowed. Hypermetropia more than 3.5 D including astigmatism is not allowed.
3. Candidates applying for Indian Air Force must not wear spectacles.
4. Limits of Hypermetropia:  +1.5
5. Binocular Vision: III
6. You should be able to recognize green and Red color.
7. Candidates who habitually wear spectacles are not eligible for Air Force.
8. For the NDA 1 2022 exam, the candidates who are born not before July 02, 2003, and not after July 01, 2006, are eligible.
9. For the NDA 2 2022 exam, the candidates born between January 02, 2004, and January 01, 2007, are eligible.

After your class 12 or in class 12 you are eligible for giving the exam of national defence academy NDA ,now for nda 2022 1 your age should be lie between July 2003 to 2006 ,also citizen must be unmarried and can be from any stream ,this exam is of 900 marks out of which you need to score minimum 350 to qualify it ,after qualifying you have to give a ssb interview of 5 days which is quite tough to qualify and after that medical test is there ,if you passed all three levels then you can join nda where there will be a three years course and you become the part of Indian defence.

The age limit to appear for National Defence Academy (NDA) Entrance Examination is 16.5 years to 19.5 years. The candidates appearing in 10+2 Entrance Examination or passed with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry can appear for NDA Entrance Examination. You will appear in class 12th examination in the year 2023 so by considering the age criteria you can appear for NDA 1 2023, NDA 2 2023 and NDA 1 2024. You will have 3 attempts to appear for NDA Entrance Examination provided you must pass in class 12th examination appearing in the year 2023.
