I saw on NEET Information Bulletin that Candidates having Biology as Additional subject can also apply for NEET as Honorable Supreme Court petition.I have Biology as Optional subject not Additional subject. Can I give NEET. And is Optional and additional subject means same?
Hello Aspirant,
Yes as per the information bulletin you can appear for NEET 2021 even if you have Biology as your additional/optional subject. Because until the Hon'ble SC pass it's judgement the candidates having Biology/Bio-technolgy as an additional or optional subject can appear for NEET 2021.
But there is another condition that you must have passed/be passing your class 12th/PUC with minimum aggregate of 50% in PCB if you belongs to Unreserved category, 40% for OBC/SC/ST and 45% for PwD certificate holders. Also note that in your curriculum English subject should also be there.
Additional and optional means same in regards to the class 12th subjects so not to worry.
Also there is age limit so if your age is between 17 to 25 years before December 31st 2021 and also fulfil above criterion then you can appear for NEET UG 2021.

Hey, Im in bsc Zoology with chem but i filled code 2 in neet form. I do have all my documents, will there be a problem in neet counselling?!
Hi aspirant
hope you are doing absolutely fine
Generally there is no need to worry about it. Codes are usually given to know certain number of candidates appearing for NEET Entrance exam. For instance, number of candidates appearing in NEET who are also pursuing degree, or droppers, et cetera
There is no such major issue to. It will not be even checked at the time of counselling and admission. For more, you can check this -

all the best
hope it helps
please tell me how are obc candidates gonna get allotted in AIQ neet counselling if there is no reservation and if they get allotted in general category because of merit will they ask for documents for obc and eligibility or for general because in form i filled obc ncl with 43% in pcb
Hi aspirant
hope you are doing absolutely fine
ALL INDIA QUOTA is 15 % total. So in this as well there is reservation for all the category. OBC/ SC /ST separate quota is their for each of them. You dont need to worry for this.
Reservation is mandatory in both 85 % and 15 % quota. Hence, there is no doubt and confusion for 43 % pcb. For general category only, the requirement is 50 % in10 + 2 higher secondary from a recognized college / university.
ALL THE BEST
HOPE IT HELPS.
if there is no obc ncl reservation in all India 15% quota neet counselling for state colleges then how did last year obc ncl students got alloted in colleges under general category? do they give obc students general seats on merit? do they still cross check obc certificate and eligibility or not?
Hi
I am guessing that you are not in the OBC NCL Central list but you belong to OBC NCL at state level
You are having misconception, even in state colleges there is OBC reservation in 15% all India counselling.
But one important thing to note down is that to avail OBC reservation in 15% all India counselling you must be in the central list of OBC NCL otherwise you will have to participate in counselling as General category.
And coming to seat allotment,
Yes, in 15% all india counselling if you are not in Central list of obc then you are eligible for seat allotment in general seats only and not seats reserved for obc .
And don't worry you will be able to select OBC NCL category during your state counselling and can avail reservation in state counselling.

My Mothers name is differing in both class 10th and class12th documents would it create problem at the time of NEET counselling and admission process.
Hello,
Yes, you might face problem at the time of document verification if the details in the certificates are not the same. In case your mother's name is not same in class 10th and class 12th certificate then you can get an affidavit stating that both the names belongs to your mother. You need carry this affidavit at the time of document verification or admission. You have to fill the NEET UG 2021 application as per the details given in the class 10th certificate such as your name, mother's name, father's name and date of birth.
Is class 12 original marksheet is required during neet counselling
Hello Buddy! Hope you're doing good.
Well while filling the application form, a scanned copy of the original marksheet was already given. However you are not allowed to send/courier the original marksheet anywhere. But you will have to provide the original marksheet during the college admission in the document verification process. Hope this helps you.
ALL THE BEST! WORK HARD !!
My mothers surname is changed in 12th marksheet but its correct in 10th marksheet Will it effect my neet counselling
See technically if your result is great and the information you will enter during the counselling is similar then you will not face any problems. Now if you have the name of your mother different in 12 marksheet then technically your 12 marksheet then its better for you to have a Gazetted officer verified attested copy. If any problem arises you can show it as an reference. The second solution can be that you can rectify your marksheet as per the procedures as prescribed by your boards which you can get the full info from your school office.
I hope this answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
My mothers surname is incorrect in my 12th marksheet but its correct in 10th marksheet Will it effect my neet counselling
Dear aspirant,
At the time of counselling, there is a very slight chance of any issues, but it may cause trouble during admissions in colleges.
You should be ready with other documents such as her adhaar card, pan card and other certificates she have. Providing many certificates will resolve your problem sooner. Don't worry a lot about it, it won't effect your counselling, you will just have to provide proper documents if asked.
You can also try for correction in your result through whichever board you studied from.
Hope this helps, good luck!
What is the purpose of mentioning about our current Bsc college in the NEET application form when it is obvious that we will withdraw our admission from Bsc if we get selected in MBBS through NEET counselling?
You are required to mention your college name in NEET registration form.
This is being done to make sure that those aspirants have been part of recognised university or any college that has been legally registered.
Yes, it is certain that candidates will withdraw their name still this is part of the process and there is nothing to worry about.
Best of luck for your exam!
My Fathers Name in class 10th marksheet and aadhar card is SANJAY KUMAR but in caste certificate its only SANJAY will it cause any problem in neet counselling verification?
See in general its not a severe discrepancy of information which can lead to cancellation or any severe cases against you. Although its better to have all the things neat. You are preparing for NEET and if you get a seat in medical college then why will you want to take any chance which can harase you in the time of admission. Its better to keep no probability.
Now you can do one thing that you can get a attested copy of the document from any gazetted officer (better for you if you do it from DM or SDO) or you can apply for rectification, the procedure of which you can get from the DM or SDO office.
I hope this helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
