i want to ask question about NEET eligibility criteria .... it says that must have passed in PCB and English individually and aggregate 50%... Now my question is that does NEET accepts grace marks in chemistry board exams is a student passes chemistry with grace marks ? is this elligible?
Hi
You are eligible with Grace marks for neet examination provided you fulfill rest of the eligibility criteria.
This is because,
It doesn't matter whether you have passed your chemistry examination with Grace marks or without grace marks, what matters is that you have passed in your chemistry
For your reference,
Here's the eligibility criteria for NEET :-
-------------------) Qualification required :-As per Neet eligibility to be eligible one must be either appearing for 12th board examination or should have passed 12th board examination from any recognised board with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English as core subject.
†††Important Note :- Students with Biology as an additional subject are also provisionally eligible for neet until Supreme Court gives its judgement over it.
-------------------) Percentage required :- You must get
-
at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology in 12th examination if belongs to general category
-
at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to st/Obc/ Sc
-
at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.
So, if you fulfill this criteria then you are definitely eligible even if you have passed with grace marks .
-------------------) Age limit :-
-
Lower age limit:- to be eligible for neet one has to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December in the year of appearing for the examination .
-
Upper age limit :-There's no upper age limit for NEET. Earlier there was upper age limit of 25 years which was pending in supreme court, on 9th march 2022 NMC in its notice has removed upper age limit. in neet eligibility criteria do you need aggregate sum of 50% of pcb or individual each subject??
Hello,
The education eligibility criteria to appear for NEET UG is that you must have passed 10+2 with English, Biology/Bio-Technology, Physics and Chemistry from a recognized board. If you belong to general category you must score minimum 50% marks aggregate in Biology/Bio-Technology, Physics and Chemistry taken together including practical and theory examination. For candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST it is minimum 40% aggregate marks in Biology/Bio-Technology, Physics and Chemistry taken together including practical and theory examination. For candidates belonging to PWD category it is minimum 45% aggregate marks in Biology/Bio-Technology, Physics and Chemistry taken together including practical and theory examination. So you need to score minimum 50% marks in Biology, Physics and Chemistry taken together not individually. Candidates appearing in 10+2 level examination are also eligible to apply provisionally. The minimum age must be 17 years as on December 31st in the year of admission. There is no upper age limit as it is removed. I am very stressed. because my board pcb agreegate 65% any chances neet eligibility of board pecentage increase. in Russia and ukrain war please reply
Hi
You don't need to stress yourself dear.
This is because,
With 65 % in PCB, you undoubtedly eligible for NEET examination as one needs at least 50 % in PCB aggregate to be eligible for NEET in case of general category.
No, there will be no increase in minimum% requirement in PCB for neet eligibility as it remains the same every year. Russia -Ukraine war has nothing to do with neet eligibility criteria, there will be no impact of war on neet eligibility criteria.

how to calculate marks for neet eligibility including practicals or not.. pcb total 225 out of 450?? am I eligible?
Hello aspirant,
Hope you are doing great. For, qualification to NEET exam, you must pass your 12th standard board exam. Whereas for your 12th standard board exams, you must get 33% of the total marks of the exams. Total marks includes practical exam marks also . So, if 450 is the total mark, then you need to get 148 marks. As you have scored, more than that, you are absolutely eligible for NEET UG exam.
Thank you :)
