when will the NEP be implemented in Maharashtra
Last year central government introduced New Education Policy to overcome the shortcomings faced by the students. Till this time, no information have come into light which confirms overall implementation of NEP in Maharashtra state. This policy was introduced by the Central Government and thus implementation will not take place in Maharashtra specifically or solely.
However according to major source, Government is planning to complete the initial phase of NEP by April 2022. In the initial phase almost 1239 will come under NEP. Maharashtra's CM has given instructions to make a commitee of education experts so the NEP takes place Maharashtra in a systematic basis.

when will NEP be implemented in Mumbai degree colleges
Hi,
The education system has gone out of focus during the pandemic due to very obvious & important reasons. So, you should not expect any changes in this academic year.
However, NEP will be implemented gradually not only in Mumbai degree colleges but also in the other institutions of our country slowly. This process cannot be rushed so a systematic way of organizing the educational committee is to be done by the Maharashtra government.
Government is planning to complete the initial phase of NEP by April 2022 & more than 1000 educational institute will come under the NEP then. So, I think you should wait for things to take its due course & hope for the best.

when will be the NEP be implemented in Mumbai University degree colleges
Hello,
The new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 is placed to restructure the existing National Policy on Education which was first developed in 1986 and last modified in 1992. The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) will again be renamed as Ministry of Education that was last changed as the HRD ministry in 1985. The new policy brings together UGC, AICTE & NCTE into a single regulatory body with the pupose to bring in coalition in the system. The single regulator will work for all higher education institutions other than the legal and medical colleges. At the college level of the education system, the new university entrance test will be implemented for college admissions in the 2022 academic session all over India. So we can assume that Mumbai University will also implement the same from 2022.
Hope this helps.......
when will the nep be implemented for degree colleges
Dear Aspirant,
Most institutions across states will need time. “This academic year the university will continue with the current system. The NEP may be implemented from 2021-22 if the pandemic situation is sorted out by then,” says Pappula Laxminarayana, professor at University College of Engineering, Osmania University.

will NAAC will be applicable to colleges after implementation of NEP
Hi,
Well NAAC accreditation can still remain valid even after the implementation of National education policy because the policy states rules and regulations related to exams, subject selections and other information all pertaining to education as an important factor. NAAC gives grades to colleges and universities where some have grade A or B and all other types. So it might stay the same even after NEP. Also there is no direct information available in the NEP that states that NAAC accreditations will be removed.
I hope this helps.
All the best.
are sociology assistant professors going to be in high demand with implementation of NEP in degree colleges if yes then how much shall they earn
hi,
see national education policy is yet to be implemented , so it is difficult to say about ongoing demand for any particular subject. however coming to sociology course it has always demand in bachelors or masters level in college education, generally most of the vacancy comes in government colleges. recruitment of professors is done by state government psc or institute wise recruitment test.
salary structure is initially 30-40k depends on the institute policy and work experience.
will private universities have to implement NEP
hi..
Private higher educational institutions (HEIs) will come under a "progressive regime of fees determination". While the regime will empower the private HEIs to set fees for their programmes independently, this freedom will come with a social responsibility of ensuring that at least 20% of students are able to attend through freeships and an additional 30% through significant scholarships.
As per the new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 being finalised, all fees and charges set by these institutions will be transparently and fully disclosed, and there shall be no arbitrary increases in these fees/charges during the period of enrolment of each student.
According to a source in the ministry of human resource development who is part of the team finalising the document, the new policy will put in place a mechanism for fixing of fees with an upper limit. "A new fee structure will be developed for different types of institutions depending on their accreditation so that individual institutions are not adversely affected, while at the same time curbing commercialisation," said the official.
As per the proposed policy, the new fee regime will ensure reasonable recovery of cost, while at the same time will also ensure the HEIs discharge their social obligations. "50% of the students at any given private institution will have some sort of scholarships assistance, which include ensuring at least 20% of students on freeships," added the official.
Placed under "Transforming the Regulatory System of Higher Education", and in the sub-section "Curbing Commercialisation of Education", the new policy envisages multiple mechanisms with checks and balances will combat and stop the commercialisation of higher education. While extending greater autonomy to the board of governors of the institution, the members will be be held accountable for it not being a commercial entity with "consequences for members of the Board in the event of failure to do so."
Moreover, all HEIs - public and private - shall be treated on par within the new regulatory regime, which is based on common guidelines of good governance, financial stability and security, educational outcomes, and transparency of disclosures. These common minimal guidelines will enable all such Acts to establish private HEIs, thus enabling a common regulatory regime for private and public HEIs, as per the proposed NEP 2020.
