Good day!!
Plz tell me what if I pursue graduation one as a private (BA) and one as a regular candidate (B.Sc) ? Shall it be beneficial for me in my future as I Am wishing to prepare for UPSC and also if it is allowed to do so in the NEW EDUCATION POLICY ?
Hi,
In may 2020 ugc has approved the proposal of doing two degree at the same time one in distance mode and other in regular mode.
So soon students can persue two degrees at the same time.
Regarding your question that will it benefit you in upsc exam preparation. according to my opinion you should do only one degree and focus on civil services preparation. As doing two degrees one time will make you busy in completing assignment, test and exams. you may get the less time for focusing on upsc syllabus. So do one degree and prepare for upsc in remaining time.
The basic eligibility for upsc is candidate should have a degree from a recognized institute. So you can do that degree which you want to do prefentially to become eligible for upsc exams.
As the upsc syllabus is wast and covers almost all major streams. So some part of your degree education will be there. subjects like history, geography, polity ,languages ,economy ,current affairs etc are included in the compulsory subjects. In optional papers you can select any subject of your choice.
So read the syllabus of the upsc exam carefully and decide which course you want to do.
There is no hard and fast rule to clear upsc. Your subjects at degree does not matter but your preparation strategy for exam does affect. Choose the strategy which suits your condition best.
Hope you find it helpful.
Thank you...
sir countless regards. sir May I ask that what is position of Urdu language in new education policy?please give it in a better position in nep sir.
Hey,
It still remains a question mark.
According to the recent news, f ormer finance minister Yashwant Sinha raised questions over dropping of Urdu from the NEP.
“Urdu is not even mentioned in the NEP. Congratulations to Prime Minister Modi. The New Education Policy does not recognise Urdu as an Indian language,” tweeted Sinha.
The statement of Sinha forced the Central government to come up with clarifications saying that the policy talked about all the languages mentioned in the Eighth Schedule of The Constitution.
The government clarified that Urdu had been included through the Eighth Schedule of India Constitution but the question arose as to why the NEP did not name Urdu while mentioning all major languages.
Till date this is the Scenario of NEP....
