I am 2015 mbbs batch and currently an intern. Do i also have to appear for Next exam? Also if i take drop next yr in 2021 n appear for neet pg 2021 then do i have to give Next exam?
Hello,
NEXT (National Exit Test) is proposed to be conducted after 3 years from the day of passing of NMC bill. Since NMC bill was passed last year, the first NEXT exam is probably going to be conducted from 2022. The first batch to appear for it will be 2K17 batch.
So no, you wouldn't be giving NEXT in 2021 even if you take a drop year. You would still be appearing for NEET-PG.
is NEXT exam both for private and government MBBS graduates? or only those students who passed from private medical college has to give this exam?
Hi!
The government of India proposed National Medical Commision Bill (NMC Bill) in 2019, according to which the all graduates of MBBS need to give a common exit test called National Exit Test (NEXT). zthe objective behind this test is to produce more qualified doctors and to bring uniformity among MBBS graduates.
NEXT exam must be given by all MBBS graduates irrespective of whether they studied in government college or private college.
My sister is failed in 12th science in Two subject physics and chemistry. Her next exam in July, her failed subject. If she passes her two subject and her percentage consider as a passing percentage 33 or may be 35.For neet exam, overall percentage consider or only PCB subject 40% marks consider.
Only PCB aggregate % is considered for Neet eligibility.
Neet Eligibility criteria says that:-
to be eligible ,
One must have passed class 12th with at least a minimum of 50% marks taken together in PCB in class 12th board examination if one belongs to general category ; while it's only 40% aggregate in pcb for obc, sc and st categories . One should have also passed English in your 12th .
So, in July exam if your sister qualify the failed subjects and meets the the aforesaid criteria then after qualifying Neet examination she can get into Medical Colleges
Thank you
