how to prepare for Situation Test? help
Hi,
The thing with the situation test is that, we don't have any hard and fast rule to crack it. I feel it is mostly about your presence of mind, material handling skills and creativity.
Here are some useful tips that must works for you :-
- Prepare a tool kit with all utilities like a geometry box, foot ruler in metal & plastic, paper knife, scissors big & small, cello tape, glue stick, fevicol, all pins, markers etc.
- Practice handling of all types of craft materials. You could work on the following given materials by trying to practice how to cut and attach within the same material category & also across the material category.
- Some materials to practice with are – card board, thermocol (thick & thin), glaze papers, kite papers, handmade sheet, cellophane, fabric, coloured clay, aluminium foil, aluminium sheet, sun pack, foam, straw pipe, mouldable aluminium wire, transparency sheet, cotton, rubber sheet, gift wrapping sheet, beads & sequences etc.
- Always Work Time Bound. It is pointless to keep sitting with a single assignment for more than 2 hours as that is the time limit you have.
- Explore the possibilities with the materials at hand.
- Work through a contact session through an experienced and trusted mentor, following a video can only help in developing your skill and that too for only that one model you watch being made. But a mentor nurtures and develops you into an independent thinker and explorer with heightened creative quotient, which helps you handle any question variety.
Hope this helps get a direction for maximising your 20% of your situation test contribution to your merit. Do remember, nothing replaces a mentor, so find a good one.
Good luck.

If I want to stop my college while studying in 1st year .. will they give me my mark sheet?
Yes,they will give you your marksheet of first year.
You need to clear all dues and after that you can take your marksheet from college.
eg. If someone is doing BBA ,that course is of 3 years and there are total 6 semesters.
Now , first year student have to give 2 semesters exam.
And for each semester you get result.
But after dropping out from college , you are not eligible to say that you have done graduation,or you have got this degree.
Feel free to ask your queries in comment section.
Best wishes!

Hello,
It is quite difficult to predict the cut off as it depends on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc. Every year the cut off changes. The cut off for NIFT 2021 will be released after NIFT counselling is concluded. So we can predict the institutes in which you may get seat based on previous year cut off. Here is the cut off in 2020 for admission to Accessory Design under general category
- NIFT, Bengaluru: 559
- NIFT, Mumbai: 473
- NIFT, Gandhinagar:868
Considering the previous year cut off you do not have chances of getting seat in any of the preferred campuses because the cut off was lower than the rank you have secured. However, you have chances of getting seat in the following institutes in the preferred course
- NIFT, Kolkata: 1674
- NIFT, Patna: 3172
- NIFT, Hyderabad: 1204 (Slight chances)
- NIFT, Bhopal: 2447
As said the cut off is subjected to change in the year 2021 based on the above mentioned factors. To check the previous year cut off click on the link below
