Candidates must have a master degree in a relevant discipline with minimum 60% aggregate marks to be eligible for admission to PhD programs at NIPER Hyderabad . Students must have a valid NIPER JEE/GPAT/GATE/NET-JRF score.

 For SC/ST category, the minimum eligibility criteria is 6.25 CGPA or 55 per cent aggregate and for PH candidates, 5.75 CGPA or 50 per cent aggregate is the minimum requirement.

For Ph.D Pharmaceutics, candidates are granted admission based on marks obtained in NIPER JEE followed by group discussion and personal interview. In addition to this, they must possess an M.S. (Pharm) (Pharmaceutics/ Biotechnology/ Pharmacology), M.Pharm. (Pharmaceutics /Formulations) M.Tech. Pharma Biotechnology, M.Tech. (Biomedical Engineering/ Biotechnology /Chemical Engineering) with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or CGPA of 6.75 on a 10-point scale.

The documents required for admission to NIPER Hyderabad are certificate of reservation (if applicable), certificate of income, certificate of disability (if applicable), medical certificate, sponsorship certificate from the employer in case of government/ industry sponsored candidates, documentary proof in support of the NRI status (only for MBA Pharm, affidavit to be provided in the form of undertaking, undertaking to be given by the parents regarding ragging for their wards to abide by rules of the institute, attested copy of Aadhar card, matriculation certificate, mark sheets of all the semesters/ years of the qualifying degree, GPAT/ GATE/ NET score card (wherever applicable) and admit card of NIPER JEE.

Students aspiring to take admission in M.S. (Pharma), MBA Pharm Pharmaceutical Management, M.Tech (Pharma) must appear for NIPER JEE. NIPER Hyderabad admission to M.S. (Pharma) and M.Tech (Pharma) is offered based on the counselling procedure. The counselling is based on merit obtained by candidates in the entrance examination. NIPER Hyderabad admission to MBA Pharm Pharmaceutical Management is offered based on the performance of candidates in the entrance examination, group discussion and interview.

For the M.Tech course, that is, in Pharmaceutical Technology Process Chemistry, there are a total of 15 seats at NIPER Hyderabad. It must be noted that in order to attain admission in M.Tech, students must hold B.Pharm, M.Sc.Organic Chemistry, B.Tech Chemical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 60 percent marks in aggregate or CGPA of 6.75 on a 10-point scale + GPAT/ GATE/ NET valid scores.
