What is eligibility criteria for MBA in IIMs and NMIMS? Is it aggregate of all semesters and it should be 50% minimum?
IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta and IIM Bangalore conduct their admission process separately.
The newly established IIMs follow a Common Admission Process which is also called CAP. The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for a Common Written Ability Test and Personal Interview Rounds. A separate Institute wise merit list will be prepared and this merit list will be declared based on individual admission and selection criteria.
IIM Sirmaur, IIM Jammu, IIM Nagpur will release their own merit list according to the CAT score or percentile and profile of the Candidate. There are no further rounds for these Institutions.
The B schools which do not fall under IIMs will conduct their own selection process. The process of selection such as Group Discussion, Written Ability Test and Personal Interview are conducted at the Institution's discretion.
IMT Ghaziabad, MICA conduct group activity or group exercise instead of group discussion. Some Institutioms also conduct Written Ability Test and Personal Interviews after Group Discussion.
Required percentiles:
FMS, Delhi needs 95 percentile.
IIM Shillong: 92 percentile
NITIE Mumbai: 91 percentile
IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow, IIM Indore, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Tiruchirapalli, MDI Gurgaon, IIM Udaipur, IIM Rohtak, IIM Ranchi, IIM Kashipur, IIM Raipur, IMT Ghaziabad, IMI New Delhi, XIM Bhubaneshwar and New IIMS need 90 percentile.
can i pursue distance pgdbm from nmims or should i go to some distance mba program from another university
Distance learning Courses offered by NMIMS were approved by the erstwhile Joint Committee of UGC-AICTE- DEC. Subsequently, its PG as well as Diploma programs have been approved by UGC - DEB. Its important to note that as per a notification by UGC it is declared that degree/diploma/certificate awarded by Open Universities in conformity with UGC notification of degrees be treated as equivalent to corresponding awards of the traditional universities in the country. Hence all these PG Diploma courses are considered equivalent to MBA by industry. There is almost no difference between PG Diploma courses in management and MBA but if we look at the basics, PGDM is a diploma awarded by autonomous institutions (most of the distance learning institutes offer diplomas instead of degree) whereas MBA is a degree program which is offered by a University or a College.
Feel free to comment if you have any doubt
Good luck

Well if you are considering a distance MBA in India, you surely go for NMIMS. It surely is a good option. NMIMS is a well known deemed University for distance education and quite poplar too and also has average fee structure too so you can go for it.

which is better collage between NMIMS LAW COLLAGE , NEW MUMBAI AND D. Y. PATIL LAW COLLAGE NEW MUMBAI
.
I would give suggestion for D.Y patil college.I has pretty good reviews. Most of the reviews are well good compared to NMIMS college.
.
NMIMS college is even great but it has little strict rules and regulations to be followed rather then this Everything is well good..
.
If you can manage with strictly rules then you can choose NMIMS.
If you want a free college life then go for DY college it will be best.
.
Hope this helped you out
Thank you
while filling nmat form we need to prefer 5 colleges and after that do we further need to fill all the 5 college forms or not except nmims?
Hello ,
As your query is you want to know that you have to fill the any empty form where you need to prefer 5 colleges and after that you want to know whether you have to fill the name of those five prefered colleges one second or except for the selected ones.
The concept for re-applying for the preferences is just that in any case if you feel that you can go with some better options or you have found out then you can go with the earlier selected one, so there is not any such condition that you read need to repeat all the names provided with but you can go with some new colleges on you options as well.
Thank you.
after filling nmat form we need to further fill the nmims college form?
Hello Mahima,
Post
registration, you need to login with your login credentials to fill
the application form of NMAT. You would need to fill in your
personal information, contact information, education and work
experience, programme/school preference and additional information as
asked. Up to five programmes/ schools can be opted under the “School
Preference” section. Beyond five programmes/ schools, a payment of
Rs.200 + applicable tax will be applicable for each school/
programme. You would also need to upload your photograph.
After doing B.des(humanizing technology) in NMIMS do I get skills of a product designer as my daughter wants to do only product designing?
Hi Vijayalakshmi,
If you have completed your undergraduate degree studies in product designing then after the completion of the course you are a product designer and most likely would possess the knowledge and skills of the same. Similarly, B.Des is a course of humanizing technology and not product designing and thus they both won't be the same.
BEST WISHES!
I have scored 129 in clat and my AIR - 2991.Can I get nmims?
Hi priyanka,
NMIMS select students on basis of 12th Board marks and All India CLAT ranking. with these two parameters, they allot you a merit number. The student with high merit numbers are directly admitted, and those with low merit numbers get admitted until seats are full.
It is suggestive that you get 1500 rank at least.
hope it helps
