iit Kanpur (electrical engineering) vs NSUT cse ? in terms of placement, salary and scope after completing.

Aditya kumar singh 12th Oct, 2020
Hi,
Firstly it depends upon your interest of stream you want to pursue further but if you want to compare then i think nsut will be better in terms of placement and as well as there is a huge scope in computer science nowadays
Av. Package - 7.75 lakhs in nsut.
But there is an iit tag which every student wants and electrical is one of the core branches and average package is 7 lakhs in iit kanpur.
So the last choice will be yours to decide based on your interests , so choose wisely.
Hope it helps..

I am from Delhi, home state is West Bengal, I got NTA SC rank 12120, can I get admission in dtu, nsut as an other state SC candidate in CSE and ECE

Poulomi choudhuri 11th Oct, 2020

Hello student,

It's difficult to predict the exact possibilities of admission. It depends upon the cut-off. Cut-off changes every year. It depends upon a lot of factors such as the exam pattern, the number of students appeared, the exam difficulty level, the highest score, whether you belong to any category or not. It also varies from state to state.

However, with 12120 NTA SC rank , you should get admission in DTU, NSU , this data is based upon Last year's cut-off. Last year the cutoff rank for electrical engineering was 25694 and for civil engineering it was 31521.

To get an exact idea about which college you might get you can check the link mentioned below

Hello,

In 2018, respective rank of 6640 secured a seat for CSE in Srinidhi Institute of Science and Technology belonging to BC-C(Boys) Category, based purely on previous year data you may have chances, it's difficult to predict exact cut offs as it varies every year based on multiple factors such as seat matrix, marks obtained in exam, toughness level of paper, total number of candidates participating in the exam etc.To know more about admission possibilities in various colleges you can use our TS EAMCET College Predictor ; https://www.careers360.com/ts-eamcet-college-predictor

NSUT(cs) vs iit delhi (electrical engineering power and automation) . which I should choose? which course is difficult . I Have interest in both. and also in which I will get more paying job?

Sharon Jose R B 10th Oct, 2020

Hello aspirant! Based on NIRF rankings, IIT Delhi is ranked second and is far better and world-widely known when compared with Netaji Subhash University, which is ranked 76. Getting a seat in IIT Delhi is a great opportunity that it's not that pleasant to reject it. IIT Delhi offers highly efficient research and work labs for academic purposes. The faculties are highly experienced in their respective fields, and are one of top professors of the nation. NSUT also provides good facility and is a renowned university in Delhi, but IIT Delhi weighs more.

Which course is difficult depends on an individual's perspective. A person who is interested in dealing with Machine language and software, would feel CS to be easy while a person who is interested in automated production and problem solving, would feel Electrical Engineering in Power and Automation to be easy. Syllabus-wise Electrical Engineering in Power and Automation is vast but not difficult.

Getting a more paying job not only depends on the institution but also on your overall academic performance and skills. In both sectors, a highly talented and well efficient graduate with good communication, leadership and creative thinking skills is paid enormously.

Taking placement into account, CS graduates are in high demand as of now . The annual salary for a CS student who passed out from NSUT ranges from 4 lakhs to 1.25 crores per annum (as of 2019).

For a long career , you can opt for Electrical Engineering in Power and Automation and it is one of the rarest courses in India. IIT Delhi has top placements of over 85.6% students placed in about 450 companies(over 950 offers) in 2019-2020 with an average package of 16 lakhs per annum and highest of 1 crore per annum. In 2019, graduates were placed more in core jobs when compared to software jobs.

Putting all the pieces of the puzzle together, I would consider Electrical Engineering in Power and Automation at IIT Delhi as more valuable, but the choice is yours.

Hope this helps! Good luck!

I got 80 percentile in OBC category in jee mains is there any chance of getting DTU or NSUT

NITIN KUMAR CHHABRA 10th Oct, 2020

Dear Aspirant

According to your percentile:

Your Rank based on category is: 57461 - 69611

Your Predicted Rank is: 184608 - 216758

Now as you have not mentioned that whether you are from Delhi or out side delhi. So I'm considering you as an outside delhi candidate.

You have very low chances of getting NSIT/DTU with this rank. So it's better that you should apply for state government colleges you might get seat there.

Also above prediction is based on previous year data and cut off changes every year So final results may vary.

IIIT -delhi (cs) vs NSUT (cs ) vs top IITs ( mechanical engineering). also discuss about placement of mechanical engineering in iit delhi

arpan00002 10th Oct, 2020

Hi aspirant,

You asked for the comparison among IIT Delhi, NSUT & other IITs.

Now, look, IIT Delhi is one of the top 5 iits in India. The job opportunities for students of cse is of around 12 to 26 lpa. For the other branches like electrical or mechanical, the students get jobs of around 7 to 15 lpa. Other than cse , for good branches like ece, it have also the same level job opportunities of cse students. Last yr Microsoft offered an overwhelming package of Rs.1.42 CR which is the highest package till now. Their average salary is around 13.51 lakhs per annum. IIT Delhi has almost 82 to 84 percent placement records every year.

In NSUT, CSE also is the best branch. The average package usually lies between Rs 7-8.5LPA. The top companies that visit NSUT Dwarka campus for placement include Accenture, Google, Birlasoft, HCL, Honda, Birla, Honeywell, IBM, BPCL, Hero Motocorp, Amazon, Microsoft, Cisco and many more.

Other top IITs are also have job opportunities with alsmost same average package.

With 9400 Rank in JEE Mains General (Outside Delhi ) . Can I get CSE or ECE at DTU/ NSUT in spot round?

tinni.chats 9th Oct, 2020

Hello aspirant, hope you are doing good.

Firstly, congratulations for your outstanding rank, it's not an easy thing, you did great. Now, with your rank, and belonging to outside of Delhi, it's not really probable that you will get a seat in DTU or NSUT for ECE or CSE, because these being the top subjects, the cutoff marks are way too high. But you can surely try your luck till the spot round, you never know if you get a seat.

Other than that, with your rank, you can get seats in some of the top NITs, IIITs and GFTIs for some branches, you can try those out as well.

If you want to know about the entire list of colleges that you can get into with your JEE Mains rank, you can get it here:

Praveen 30th Aug, 2020

hyyy

your general rank would around 23k and you have not specify your category so i'm mentioning that for general you won't be able  to be in nsut as i think you have not done your 12th from delhi for general even the branch consider lower last at 10,000

if you belong to obc than it last at around 21000 and for sc category it last at 80000 these all rank i have mentioned is for outside state..so if you belong to sc than all the branch will be open for you you can make choice .but if you belong to obc than may be biotech, electroic instrumentation, and manufacturing and automation.
