Hello Abdullah Rahman,
NTSE is national talent search examination conducted by the NCERT for granting scholarships to meritorious students.
The preparation tips are as follows:
- Students must cover the whole syllabus at least twice before the exam.
- Student must give practice papers for analysis of weak areas and then work upon them.
- You should give atleast 2 papers in a week when there are 2 months left for the exam.
- You should completely focus on the NCERT books including the exemplars which are very helpful.
- Eat right and exercise daily to avoid getting ill.

How,when and where can I apply for NTSE exam? I am a CBSE student from West Bengal.
Dear Student,
Students studying in class 10 are eligible to appear in the NTSE 2021 exam. Those students who will qualify stage 1 exam will be eligible for the stage 2 exam. It must be noted that Indian students studying abroad can appear directly for the stage 2 exam.
NTSE Eligibility Criteria 2021- Age Limit
NCERT has prescribed the age limit for open school students to appear in the NTSE stage 1. Open students should be below the age of 18 years (as of July 1, 2020). This age limit is applicable for both Indian students as well as for students of Indian origin studying abroad.

Happy Learning!
I am written Ntse exam in 27 December 2020.I got 83 marks in ntse stage. I am OBC category.Shall i selected for scholarship ?
Hello Aspirant,
Since you have not mentioned the name of your state so it is quite difficult to guide you with an accurate information but if we go through your profile then it shows that you belongs to Tamil Nadu, if not then please mention the correct one in comment section below.
See on such score you can easily qualify NTSE stage 1 but no chances of being shortlisted for stage 2 because the expected cut-off for shortlisting of candidate for stage 2 from Tamil Nadu is 150-155 for OBC category.
NTSE Tamil Nadu expected cut-off for 2021 :-
Category |
Cutoff |
General |
155-165 |
OBC |
150-155 |
SC |
135-140 |
ST | 85-95 |
EWS | 140-150 |
So it shows that you have almost no chances to be qualified for stage 2 but still we have to wait because the cut-off mentioned above is only the expected cut-off.
Cut off depends upon various factors such as the difficulty level of stage 1 exam, Tamil Nadu State quota, number of students appeared in the stage 1 exam, last year's NTSE Tamil Nadu cutoff and so on.
You can also check out complete details about the expected cut-offs for NTSE MP 2021 from the link given below :-

I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!!

i gave my ntse exam stage 1 chhattisgarh on 13 dec 2020 i m expecting my marks in the range of 135 -140 is there any chance of qualifying for stage 2 general category
Hi
Which category do you belong to dear?
I am guessing you are from general category
This is difficult to predict whether you will be able to qualify NTSE stage 1 examination or not as qualifying cut off marks or not as cut off marks depends upon a number of factors like
* number of students that appeared in the ntse exam,
*kind of marks obtained by them in ntse examination,
*toughness level of the ntse examination etc.
But yes,
When we go through previous year trends then,
Yes, with 135- 140 marks you hold a decent chance to qualify NTSE stage 1 in order to be eligible for stage 2.
For example,
The ntse 2019 chhattisgarh stage 1 cut off to be eligible for NTSE stage 2 is given below category wise:-
Category you belong |
Cutoff marks |
General |
129 |
OBC |
110 |
SC |
100 |
ST |
113 |
You can check the same by visiting our page for which link is provided below :-

Ntse stage 1 Chhattisgarh result will be declared on its official website i. e scert.cg.gov.in
