Actually, this  is very difficult to predict whether you will be able to qualify NTSE stage 1 examination or not as qualifying cut off marks or not as cut off marks depends upon a number of factors like

*  number of students that appeared in the ntse exam,

*kind of marks obtained by them in ntse examination,

*toughness level of the ntse examination and several other factors.

But yes,
When we go through previous year trends then,
The ntse  2021 jharkhand stage 1 expected  cut off to be eligible for NTSE stage 2 is given below category wise:-

* general :- 130  -  145 marks

* Scheduled Caste :- 115  -   125

*Scheduled Tribe :- 87  -   98

So , being from general category with 160 marks  you hold a very good chance to qualify NTSE stage 1 to be eligible for NTSE 2nd stage as expected cutoff for general category is 130 to 145 marks

The cutoff for NTSE stage 1 for Jharkhand has not been released yet. result is extected to be declared soon. But the expected cutoff for various stages has been released such as for delhi it is around 180, for punjab is is 130, for odisha it is 150 etc. You can check it here:

See on such score you can easily qualify NTSE stage 1 and also have good chances of being shortlisted for stage 2 because the expected cut-off for shortlisting of candidate for stage 2 from Jharkhand is 130-145 for OBC category.

Sorry to say you but there is no such kinds of reservations for OBC category in NTSE Jharkhand stage 1. But there is reservation for other categories. Hope this will help you .

The Stage 1 exam was in the month of November and the results are supposed to be declared in the month of February 2020. The stage 2 exam is in May 2020 and the results for the same is in August, 2020. To check the results, student should visit the office website and then you will find an option of NTSE result file download it and look for your roll no.

Around 2000 scholarships are provided by NCERT on the basis of final result of NTSE (National Talent Search Examination) which is conducted in two stages. NTSE Stage 1 is state level examination and is conducted by respective state government. However state and union territories select candidates based on the quota alloted to each state. The expected NTSE cut off  for general category in  Jharkhand is 130-140.Last year it was 113. Cut off depends on the total number of students attended and highest mark scored in the exam. So as per the predicted cut off you get a chance to qualify for the  second stage. Wait for the result in April 2020. All the best.
