i got 117 marks in 6sept. 2nd shift, im an obc candidate can i get civil in bit mesra ranchi?
With your marks in JEE Mains 2020, your rank should be around 25000 to 30000 in the common rank list. As you are from oBC category, you can get seat in NITs and GFTIs for civil engineering.
For BIT Mesra, you need to have around 150+ to get a seat. If you are from Jharkhand and as an oBC, you might get seat in the last rounds of JOSAA counseling.

So as per your query,
The qualifying cutoff Mark's for the NEET exam for the OC quota students is 117 to 715 Mark's under the state category for the Course of MBBS. And also 93 to 110 Mark's for the students with OBC Or SC or ST Quota students.
Hope this helps you!!
During WBJEE registration, I registered as GENERAL even though i am OBC. Can I go through Decentralized Counselling as OBC candidate?
Dear Student ,
First of all , you need to remember WBJEE admission through counselling is totally based on GMR / PMR , not on category ranks .
So, it will be fine if you have filled up the registration form as Gen Candidate as your admission will be based on General rank only .
But , for direct admission .. or decentralized Counselling .. may be the college authority need OBC certificate if you tell them that you are a OBC candidate . It's better to contact with the specific college authority for detail information about direct admission .
Hope this helps !
I hold OBC-NCL category certificate, which rank is onsidered, CRL OR OBC-NCL
Hello Student,
I'm here to tell you that, For Josaa counselling procedure both the rank i.e. CRL and OBC-NCL category rank is used for getting admissions in prestigious colleges of engineering which are IITs, NITs, IIITs, IIEST Shibpur & GFTIs.
Category Rank is used for getting admission to reserved seats available in the Institution.
Whereas counselling bodies other than Josaa such as TS EAMCET, OJEE, UPCET uses the CRL rank list only.
Hope this information helps you
Thank You
i got 1.3 Lakh CRL and 42000 obc rank can i get into any branch in nits?
Hi,
With your obc rank of 42000, chances are low of getting any of the NITs. But if you have a home state quota in any of the following NITs then you might have a chance of getting Mechanical Engineering in one of these :
• NIT Manipur
• NIT Arunachal Pradesh
(Bases on 2021 cutoff trend)
