obc reservation for non karnatakan students how the seats are alloted?
Hello candidate,
In most of the government colleges or other state funded technical institutions, there is a reservation of about 27 % of the seats reserved for the other backward classes category as mentioned in the guidelines of the government of India reservation policy.
Moreover, most of the state institutions all of all also follow a criteria of about 85% of the seats reserved for the home state for domicile holder candidates (in case of medical colleges) and there is 15% of the state are available for all India counselling process.
Hope you found it helpful. If you have any questions please feel free to post it here!!
pls pls reply me i beg of you can i get a government seat with 480marks in neet with obc reservation in vydhehi medical college bangalore? i belong to karnataka.
Hey,
Based on previous year data, with 480 marks you may get a rank between 111799-120832. You may also predict your rank using NEET Rank Predictor https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-rank-predictor?utm_source=qna&utm_medium=neet_rp
The cut off ranks of Vydehi Institute of Medical Science and Research Centre, Bangalore according to Karnataka State Counselling across various categories as follows -
- 1G - 38879
- 1R - 90743
- 2AG - 51163
- 2AK - 94725
- 2AR - 75691
- 2BG - 41147
- 2BK - 107680
- 3AK - 99458
- 3AR - 74538
- 3BG - 51888
So, based on this it is quite difficult for you to get a seat in this college. But, nothing fixed can be said until you get this years result. As cut offs and ranks are subject to change every year depending on the difficulty level of the paper, performance of the students and the number of seats available. For example in 2019, the corresponding rank of 480 marks was 58214-65316. While in 2020, it went up to 1,20,000.
Having said that, you can get a list of colleges in which you can get MBBS/BDS seats by using NEET College Predictor https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?utm_source=qna&utm_medium=neet_cp
does obc reservation candidate can have deduction in fee structure for neet pg in state qouta private and semigovernment college
Hi
There is no such provision that you will get deduction in fee for neet pg so fee structure will be same for you as well as other category candidates however if u get seat in private college beside management quota then you can get some deduction in fee but it will depend on your marks not category
i got 91.59 percentile in jeemains im a girl with obc reservation n super numerary please help me out in which nit do i get
what is the minimum rank and percentile required to get an admission in nit with obc reservation
Hi
This is a bit difficult to predict the marks/percentile/rank required in JEE mains as closing rank keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the jee main examination , number of seats available for the branch you want etc.
But yes,
When we go through previous year trend then ,
Under other state quota , closing rank for some of the nits for which closing rank goes low are listed below along with their closing rank in the 6th round of josaa counselling 2020 for obc category :-
-
NIT Mizoram ,civil engineering :-14730 obc rank
-
Nit nagaland ,Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology) :- 15340 obc rank
-
National Institute of Technology AgartalaProduction Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology :- 15659 obc rank
You can verify the above at
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
So, to get a seat in NIT you should get at least around 15000 OBC rank i. e around 95 percentile .
This prediction of is on the basis of past year data but cut off/closing rank for colleges keeps changing every year depending upon many factors like number of students that appeared in the examination, difficulty level of the JEE main question paper for different shifts etc

can I get a mbbs seat in any government college of bihar or any state by 337 marks in neet 2021 through girl reservation or obc reservation
Hi
It's quite difficult to predict that whether you will get seat or not as cut off marks for medical colleges keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.
But when we go through previous data then
in neet 2019, 575 marks for obc category was the lowest marks to get mbbs seat in government medical college under bihat state quota and it was for Government Medical College, Bettiah
So, you have low chances for government mbbs colleges with 337 marks. In other states chances for government mbbs colleges is even lower because you will be eligible for all india quota in other states for which cut off goes even higher
You can check the same at
https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-bihar
But yes
You have chances in deemed universities for mbbs which are listed below along with their neet 2020 , 2nd round cut off :-
----------) BVDU Medical College and Hospital, Sangli:- 311 marks
----------) Saveetha Medical College, Chennai:- 265 marks
----------) Dr. DYP Edu. Soc. Deemed Uni., Kolhapur:- 262 marks
----------) Vinayaka Missions Medical College and Hospital, Karaikal:- 257 marks
And a few more
Above prediction is on the basis of past year data but cutoff keeps changing every year due to many factors as mentioned earlier, so to have a clear picture of the colleges in which you have to chances and
