i am a obc candidate and scored 75%tile in jee mains 2025 my crl is 3.7 lac and category rank 1.35 lac can i get ECE branch in CET engineering college Bhuneshwar through ojee counselling with state domicile reservation?

Rohan 20th May, 2025
  • With your OBC rank (1.35 lakh) and 75 percentile in JEE Mains, getting ECE at CET Bhubaneswar via OJEE counselling is unlikely .

  • Last year’s ECE cutoff rank was around 1,02,728 (general category).

  • State domicile may help, but your rank is still higher than typical cutoffs.

  • Consider other branches or private colleges with lower cutoffs.

i am a obc candidate and scored 75%tile in jee mains 2025 my crl is 3.7 lac and category rank 1.35 lac can i get ECE branch in vssut engineering college through ojee counselling with state domicile reservation?

Akansha Sharma 23rd May, 2025

With 75 percentile in JEE Main 2025, CRL rank 3.7 lakh, and OBC rank 1.35 lakh, getting ECE at VSSUT through OJEE counselling with state domicile is tough. The cutoff for ECE is usually much lower. But don’t worry—you can try for other branches like Mechanical or Civil, which may have higher cutoffs. Also, some private Odisha colleges accept your score. If possible, improve your score next time for better chances. Keep checking the OJEE website for updates.

My jee mains rank is 6,07,103 and my obc rank is 2,23,889. In ojee counseling which rank will be considered obc or general rank?

Mayumi DAS 27th Apr, 2025

In OJEE (Odisha Joint Entrance Examination) counseling, your OBC rank will be considered for the allocation of seats under the OBC category.

This means that during the counseling process, the authorities will primarily use your OBC category rank (2,23,889) to determine your eligibility for reservations and seat allocation under the OBC quota. If your OBC rank is higher (i.e., a lower number) than your general category rank, the OBC rank will be considered.

Therefore, you will be eligible for the benefits of the OBC reservation as long as you have the necessary documents proving your OBC status.

  • Application Period: January 30, 2025, to March 25, 2025.
  • Admit Card Release: April 25, 2025.
  • Examination Dates: May 2 to May 11, 2025.

In this year ojee registration form , in academic qualification there is no btech for 2 students , may I know why this is happening or can 2 students write ojee for btech

sadafreen356 11th Mar, 2025

The OJEE registration form issue you're facing is likely because the OJEE exam is not held for admission to B.Tech programs in Odisha. Instead, admission to B.Tech courses is primarily based on JEE Main scores, especially in government engineering colleges.

However, there's an exception for lateral entry into B.Tech programs. A special OJEE exam is conducted for students who have a diploma in engineering and want to take lateral entry admission into B.Tech courses.

If you're looking to pursue B.Tech, you can definitely write the JEE Main exam. In fact, JEE Main scores are accepted by many engineering colleges across India, including those in Odisha.

To clarify, here are your options:

- JEE Main: Write the JEE Main exam for admission to B.Tech programs in Odisha and other states.

- Special OJEE: If you have a diploma in engineering, you can appear for the special OJEE exam for lateral entry into B.Tech programs.

I hope this clears up any confusion. Let me know if you have further questions!
